You posting this film for all to see? Is the stupidest thing in the entire world if you want to have motorcycles kicked out of the Blackwater state forest, keep doing this. Also, be very aware there are no single track trails in black water state forest. Those are hiking trails and the fine for riding off-road. Non marked posted road is 600 plus dollars wake up. Take this film off of the KZfaq face page and ever else immediately. And never do it again.Mr. Moron, you gave your name and your tag number is visible in the shot.They will come for you wake up use your Brain

The gap between your knee and bars would not be affected by any spring installation. You could take the springs totally out, or even the front wheel off, and as long as your foot was on the foot peg, that gap would be the same as before. If the increased preload helps with your style of riding, then it does. It's possible, as basically every kind of suspension adjustment has compromises and benefits. If you like the benefits, and not having any static sag, or even dynamic sag by the looks up it, isn't a problem then no problem. But in case you're curious, look up videos or discussions about setting Sag, front and rear. If you have zero sag while going down the road, there isn't really much suspension in the drooping position because you're always sitting at the maxed out upwards position. Obviously if you first compress the forks, then they can move back up. But imagine a road condition where the bike crests a sudden drop off.. a wheel with sag would drop down into the void with its remaining suspension travel. Yours has zero or almost zero currently remaining, and thus would need to wait for the entire bike to drop down from gravity for the tire to reconnect with the road.

Theres no answer to sand except horsepower and lots of throttle. If you're on a smaller bike you'll just never feel comfortable. I had a Honda xr600r that ate Sand for breakfast. And i had a dr350 that just never did sand well. The trick is to keep that back wheel spinning. When in doubt throttle out

Seems like you could just put a stainless rod or tube spacer between the stock bolts and top of spring for much cheaper. Not sure why pvc is even in the conversation.

I’m a new rider deciding between the a 2024 Trail and a 2024 XR150L. This video is very informative about the differences between the two including in how they perform on dirt trails and on-road. The Trail has such heritage and a definite “cool” factor that the 150 does not but, in the end, I think the 150 is really what I’m looking for based on how I intend to use it. Trail exploring for landscape photography, back road rides and a little highway only when necessary. Thanks for the info and great video.

9.7hp is just a little too little. And I’d hate to modify something that expensive.
@TheAnnoyingBoss
@TheAnnoyingBoss Ай бұрын
If you modify these engines they become horrifically unreliable pieces of dog shit my man trust me. They market to you to buy the turbo kit and big bore kit off a chinese website because they know your engine designed to last no more than 50k miles when very well maintained before it rattles itself apart, you big bore that thing or go opening up how kuch it cam breathe and youre chopping that projected lifespan down significantly. 50k miles is a lot if you just drive around the same town every day 10 miles a day max it could take eons to even get to 25k miles but if you hit roads and just go wracking up all this milage you want it super reliable. No fun to spend 5k on a bike and then spend even more making a 125 engine more powerful just to have the bottom end explode on you in the middle of nowhere right after when what you really shoulda bought is a klx300 orna drz400 or dr650 or something idk. It doesnt make sense to try to make a 125 into a 250 when you coulda bought a yamaha xt250 and had more power without harming your reliability. Thats why to me i think like how honda does the rebel 300 500 1100 they could cram that rebel 300 engine into the trail and grom so theyre 276cc 6 speeds that can hit 70 75 😂 butnim sire soe engineers and accountants are habing anyursm ive still been saying it for years. The honda trail started as a 70 went to a 90 went to 110 nownits a 125 I think theyve been edging up inch by inch for decades before i was even born so when i see them do 3 differet rebels it makes me think aboht the trail 125 because people really depend on those in a lot of countries and so 125 is i nice nivelty size that is close to the classics and is the best for just riding around in a town under 55 but to me thenissuenis you got guys who take these up alaska and across usa or around the world so a version with more power better luggage capacity that can go farther but is still light enough. A bigger engine will be more durable but it will suck gas down. Idk what the right size engine is i just think about engines honda already has they could black magic transplant. But really its a bigger deal than just that you basically have to build the whole bike over again but ever so slightly bigger 😂 to me they are cheap enough esspeically used it wouldnt be a bad idea to have one for when im only camping nearby or when im only going to the grocery store for a few supplies that fits in a milk crate size area. But i live in an area where you can get up to 80mph for hours and see no civilization so having a trail thats less novelty and more serious would be cool. Think about if fuck it we ball energy and just put cruise control. A trail good enough you go 80mph all the way across the country. This isnt that bike. Theoretically yeah you can but going 50 mph the entire way across oklahoma will suck. The trail could also be 3 versions. I wouldnt complain about options. For a bike you really want to go morenthan backroads you need a bigger engine thats not pinned at redline on the interstate at 80.

The XR150 fills the gap a bit better. A little more power and bigger. But for real speed a 250cc+ dual sport is necessary.

The T-Dub is a tractor able to perform minor miracles. The quintessential farm bike. The XR is cheap enough to allow you to justify not buying a CRF 300 until you get tired of your buddies always leaving you behind on the trail since Honda doesn’t market it as a trail bike. For what it costs, the XR is far cooler than the Navi if you’re not worried about it looking like a dirt bike.
