Pick your favorite thing Justin said in response to one thing Cliffe said, quote him verbatim, and then _show your work_ regarding how what Justin said was false. If you're just going to say "nuh-uh," then you haven't actually said anything at all. If you say there's a lot to understand and you think you understand it and disagree with anything Justin stated, then please share your expertise with the class so we can all come to better understand our shared reality.

@@Deconstruction_Zone Pretty much. It's quite telling when one side of a debate consistently refuses to genuinely engage. They think they're "winning," tho, and I think it's kind of adorable. I remember one debate Cliffe did on MDD a while back where the topic was "is Christianity true?" Cliffe didn't utter the word "Christianity" once nor did he put forward a single argument for even generic theism. Idk how you find the patience, let alone the time, to make content but I'm glad you do. From one former cultist to another, keep fighting the good fight 🍻

I was once what I'd consider a die hard born again Christian and I watched things like kent hovid and Rob bell, and from them I was convinced of fine tuning because I took the info they gave as true without checking to see if it's actually fact. When I did a deep study trying to be a pastor, I learned that there was so much I wasn't taught or just straight lied to. Took about 7 years to deconstruct but I found reason and critical thinking

I read the Bible. No, not even close. The Bible is not a method of investigating evidence and testing for reliability, it is a faith based, man made narrative filled with fiction, metaphors and contradictions produced by Hebrews living on the Sinai Peninsula during the Bronze Age.

Back in the 1970s I saw thousands of cars with bumper stickers saying "caution rapture soon this car will be driverless"over 50 years later NO rapture, you can buy a book online called the late great planet Earth by Hal Lindsey(1970)and he says the Bible teaches that the rapture will take place in 1981, 7 years tribulation Armageddon 1988, Lindsay became a multi-millionaire off misleading people

I just love the inspirational music set to this video. My mother is someone who would cry to this video without realizing she didnt actually learn ANYTHING from its contents. shes really just getting emotional over the swelling music and the thought of some loving god.
