Splendid video! It was very instructive! We however, moved to the Treasure Coast and now we are two hours away at the most from all the ports, (except for JAX). The main reason for the move was the fact that we could cruise as much as we want at a moment's notice.

Hi Dee. I’ve recently just became aware of “repositioning/transatlantic” cruises via other KZfaq channels. Your presentation and information is excellent. I especially love how you got straight to the pros and cons and had visual inserts. I found this extremely helpful. My husband and I have traveled quite a bit, flying internationally and domestically, but we’ve yet to take a cruise. My husband is very leery. He tends to get claustrophobic and worry’s about being in the middle of the ocean without being able to get off the ship, medical emergencies (even though we are both healthy - ages 57 & 59). He has agreed to do a short cruise to see how he will do. We live in Texas, so Galveston is a drivable port for us to reach. I think a transatlantic would be a wonderful way to get from Europe back to the US. We are not yet completely retired, so I’m not sure when our next trip to Europe will be…hopefully in 2025 or 2026. I will definitely be looking for a transatlantic/repositioning cruise for the return trip…if my husband can survive a short cruise. 😂😂 He would definitely love the casinos on board, but like your husband, I can see him getting a little board with the sea days in a row. My second trip. My ONLY "beef" was they served me cocktail sauce with my calamari :). LOVED it. First trip was recon, looking for kid- friendly. Setting sail Aug. 5th with grandkids! See you all there.

I took a solo transit Atlantic on the Queen Mary to from New York to Southampton and back last December prior to Christmas. Of course, as you know, the queen Mary is designed specifically for transatlantic crossings. It was wonderful! The service and the food were outstanding. Unfortunately, on the way back, I ended up with pneumonia. I think that it possibly had something to do with the time change factor coming from the east to the west, and not being totally rested, however I would do the whole thing again.

Reposition cruise is for retired people, or you want a totally relax. If you still working do not have much days on vacation, or you like party then reposition is NOT for you.

As far as I know, the only way to take an authentic transatlantic cruise is on an ocean liner, such as the Queen Mary II, not a cruise ship.

😂😂spring break on the Mardi Gras last year IMO terrible! There were too many kids. Couldn’t get into a hot tub as kids were snorkeling in them and carnival did nothing about it despite complaints. Never again will I cruise in March

This absolutely terrifies me. We booked our first norwegian cruise in september. My husband's boss would not let him off another day because we already maxed out the time for a ten day cruise. The only thing we could do was book. An early flight, That is scheduled to arrive at 9:30 AM. At the airport, 15 miles from the cruise terminal. Now, instead of being excited for my cruise, I'm terrified we will miss the embarkation. Yes, I bought the cruise ship insurance, but I know they will do all they can to screw me out of money. Any words of hope?

Great video, many good insights. We have just booked our first TA, leaving in April 2025 out of Miami. 20 nights, ending in Naples for 4 extra nights. Great part about this cruise is that it will be like 2 cruises in one as it heads to the Eastern Caribbean first for several days before swinging North for 6 sea days and then 6 additional stops. We have been on 11 cruises, 10 of them have been music festival cruises, so much different than this. We are looking forward to the relaxing. We have been married for 20 years and this will only be the 2nd vacation we have taken by ourselves.

What is the biggest wives tale?. When you’re a child when you’re young if you are kept in the house and don’t get exposed to a lot of cold and flu viruses yes it can affect you. Inside with Covid and after Covid now that does not affect adults every year the flu virus changes and that’s the only thing you can catch via air. On a cruise ship a lot of the stomach flu type diseases are by touch at the buffet and railings and stuff like that. Was on a Disney cruise for 14 days the Panama Canal with four sea days. And then ordinary number that you reported got sick on our ship Here is the big difference now with the Internet anytime there is any accident anything newsworthy in New York City? You’ll hear about it in LA. There’s no news from your town only anymore. . Same with places where people get sick they are checking ships planes airport places where people congregate more and more because of Covid take away the Covid and put in baloney or bird flu. Because of the situation we have people are now more microscopically looking at everything. I can report in case people say oh and blah blah blah blah blah not true cruiser Disney is not one of the cleanest ships I believe it could be their newest ships and their plan to go. All of their ships is to be like a touchless buffet more like an old-fashioned cafeteria, where you walk along and people hand it to you. so no being stuck in a house for two years does not mean you’re more likely to catch a cold or flu or something especially is caught by touch the diseases like a stomach flu or not something you can build your immune system on and for the airborne diseases, we get our flu shot every year, hoping that the combination is correct I wanna thank you for your post and you are me 100% to me. This is a bucket list item there are no negatives and only positives because it’s like coffee and tea. It’s a choice. Your husband does not like tea a transatlantic cruise but you do. So thank you for telling me. I did the perfect decision because all the reasons why I wanted to take a transatlantic cruise are all your positive reasons.

So you are saying all those invited will win at least $300 or gift equivalent, if you are pesent at the time? I was looking to see what cruise dates were available out of Galveston. Due to your blog. I am going to try the Ultra cruise. I like you, but on my first cruise, I didn't know anything about a players club until someone came to me and told me I would be getting free drinks the rest of my cruise, while playing in the casino. I have been cruising and gambling since then. Thank you for your information.😊
