Here in Japan you can afford to scrap a 20-year-old car and the first sign of trouble. As example, at 100,000 km (or soon after) when the timing belt change is due, it's straight up the scrapyard where scrapping is free. Rust in not such an issue because in this part of the Japan Alps they don't use salt in the roads in winter, only grit. Over on the Japan Sea side they use salt, so avoid auction sourced cars from this part. The cars I get are all two-wheel drive (rear) switchable to 4WD. But diff-lock is what you really need for compressed up-hill snow. Had half a dozen, never paid more than a grand. Better, stronger wheels that yours. Jack, the Japan Alps Brit

I don't know why toy bothered to make this video, you do not have any knowledge on how to tell anyone about this volvo V50, probably because you have no idea about cars or any technical details only that you can drive one.

Terrible company Terrible company! I’m just going to be proceeding with legal action against them and will be doing honest but very negative reviews of their company on every platform possible! On every review site and every media site such as KZfaq! The lawnmower I had that was very expensive: Stiga Combi 55SQ DAE 46cm Cordless 48V Lawnmower. It didn’t work correctly from the start and then when it finally gave up the ghost and was still in warranty we were told to take it to their authorised repair shop that kept us waiting months and then went into administration after telling us they were waiting for parts that were faulty from the beginning! We’ve Emailed Stiga, phoned and been told by two different people they would call back and they’ve not! They’ve not responded to an email either! Today we’ve been told by someone that they don’t believe it’s their responsibility! It is as they told us where to take it and that company has gone into administration and the lawnmower, 4 batteries and duel charger has gone missing or is in the shop!! We’ve read that it’s their responsibility and so know we will win when we take it to court and get the ombudsman involved. We’ve been told today that a manager will ring us back, heard this too many times now! The terribly expensive product and with accessories to buy now in a sale will be £1099! We’ve also paid out over £200 on having a gardener come in and strim grass and then mow it because we had no lawnmower, this was last year!! If we don’t hear back very soon we will be taking legal action! Buy from Sthl where you get great service and great products! The whole family are going to be doing honest reviews like this on every platform if it’s not sorted very soon!! We will make sure they lose more than we’ve lost!! We are a very large family! They will soon see this shared and circulating on Facebook, with all our family and friends sharing it will achieve massive momentum that’s if this is not sorted and then followed by, as I’ve already said, negative reviews on every media platform and review site! Well done Stiga!! You’re very rude with your lack of response after promises and very ignorant of the law! You will regret it! Update: A manager called today and was more helpful but no conclusion and they’re trying to wriggle out of responsibility when in fact it is their responsibility. We will hold off of sharing on all available social media for a little longer. In answer to their response below: 1. You call it an independent dealer however you told us to take our faulty lawnmower there and this company is representing you and unbelievably is still being shown as one of your dealerships on your website! You are telling the public that it’s a trustworthy company representing you so you really shouldn’t try to distant yourselves from them as you have below when it becomes a problem for you to be represented by than, as you offered no alternative to have your expensive and faulty product taken to a non independent repair shop! I presume you have no way of having your faulty goods mended because why send us to an independent one! 2. The case number is: 00166622 3. A manager called, ????? phoned us today at 9:21, date: 10/03/…. ????? stated today that you had the parts ordered from the company that’s gone into administration and you will clearly see by report that the fault lies in manufacture and it’s been noted that you’re no longer producing this machine, I wonder why! Why when you’ve received the report from SJH Machinery and order for replacement of faulty parts you didn’t contact us when you knew the company had gone into administration! We have lost money on the faulty goods! We have taken a considerable amount of time and fuel trying to resolve the issue, because of travelling to SJH Machinery on numerous occasions because of your faulty goods ! We have had to pay for a gardener because of your faulty goods and we will again be paying for another gardener because of your faulty goods and if the situation isn’t rectified soon because of your faulty goods! Then we will be doing a family combined campaign, which will be accurate and honest, on all social media because of your faulty goods and terrible service if this is not dealt with in a satisfactory way! If I seem irate then that is because of an emails not being responded to, promises of phone calls by two people from your company not following through with what they said they were going to do and not having the decency to update us on the situation by a follow up calls! Your company and your product has failed on every level so far! Another update Stiga have complained to Trustpilot that I included the name of manager so I’ve removed them! I was not told to do so by Trustpilot but asked to!

Do we need to de-pressurize and/ or remove any fuel pump fuses before removing the old filter? Some videos suggest that you need to start the car, leave it running and remove a fuse. Any guidance on this issue will be great.

I had one in Peru, Montero io 2.0 5-doors version. It was phenomenal off road and very comfortable. The 4WD version was extremely advanced. It had some retro look, it aged really well. The 3-doors version was better looking, but too cramped inside. It good replaced by the RVR, which didn't make sense. Sometimes would go after floodings to visit the clients, the water on one occasion over the bonnet, fortunately the engine didn't stop. Sand and also rocks were no problem at all. It had some kind of locking differentials. Wish I had one now in Canada, I think it would do great on ice and snow too. The Jimny has a much smaller engine and far less advanced 4WD system. The 4WD on the io can be left engaged permanently, where it has great grip on rain, though it felt heavier and on fuel too. Consumption was higher than a typical 2.0 car of the time (406 for example), but not so bad with the manual version. While less comfortable than a car, it was still reasonably good. Unlike the Jimny and the Vitara, the Montero io was monocoque construction.

@@CosmicCarWorks So the correct order would actually be like: 1. Remove 6 T15 screws- 2 number plat lights and that gum cover 2. Remove 4 T25 screws and that cover with Volvo writing 3. Remove the plug 4. Replace the microswitch 5. Reverse the order to put everything back in place ? I've been searching for several hours how to replace this shit and until your video the only information I've found is that it's easy. Now regarding the test you do with a paper clip at the beginning- what's the point of it? Is it supposed to close the circuit just like microswitch does and drive the locker?
@CosmicCarWorks
@CosmicCarWorks 3 жыл бұрын
Yes that’s correct ! It’s not the easiest job to do but once you got it. I bridged the micro switch with the paper clip it’s a good way of testing my switch wasn’t working, but I have come across sometimes the wire rub at the boot entry to the roof so sometimes not the switch could be wiring ! Hope it helps cheers Ross
