I have the same car a 2007 Chrysler 300 LX and my key will start the car the security red light will go off and the car stays on and I can drive around but the lock and unluck as well as the trunk key will not work.

Everybody to know programing about this key 1st is 1st the key you need to program it must be not programed before with any GM cars it have to be cleared. I was trying to program in my car gmc terrain a programed with another GM cars can't program with my car therefore as i said make sure it is cleared or not programed with other vehicle that's all.
