The lisle 62300 MacPherson strut tool instructions state to tighten with an impact wrench. This works fine if you tighten each side in small steps.

Compressor jaw locks not engaged, check... Using an impact gun, check... Way to much unnecessary tension on the spring, check... One side tighter than the other, check. BOIIING ! Lucky you lived thru that one.

This is stupid and unnecessary. A car door is not an aquarium full of water that needs to be insulated. nor does the water flow from the inside of the car, the rain falls from the outside. so there is no reason to do all this

Hi, I would not recomend that. There is so much force in the spring that the strut and the weigths would probbaly fly. I was thinking maybe a sandbags, so when hit absorbs energy rather than bounce the strut back. Thanks for your comment. SMI

Hi, It's hard to say without looking. Normally water always comes inside the door as the seal between glass and door is not perfect and should come out at the bottom of the door. The seal prevents the water to come inside the car. If you have a water gathering in the footwell, it is possible that drains outside your windshield are blocked and the water is coming through air vents. Check for leafs and other debris. Good luck and best regards SMI

In the end I had to seal off all holes with silicone. So also the little holes to which you attach the doorpanel etc. Not the most beautiful solution, but it worked.

So, how much air will this tank hold?
@shedmadein4115
@shedmadein4115 10 ай бұрын
Not much :). The tank is 2l...The storage volume for a compressed gas can be calculated by using Boyle's Law p1xV1=p2xV2 V1=(p2xV2)/p1 The final volume depends on how much are you able to compress the air. The tank I think is rated for higher pressure but standard compressors will provide around 8bar. That means that you can squeeze in about 16l of air. I'm using the tank mainly when bleeding brakes. Best regards SMI

Using a tankless Airbrush compressor - I am thinking the safety relief valve is not necessary ? The compressor regulates pressure ....
@shedmadein4115
@shedmadein4115 Жыл бұрын
Hi, I'm using various equipment to charage this tank and wnat to have a safety valve mounted just for piece of mind. This will also prevent pressure from rising if charged tank is left in sunny place. It's up to you to assess your system and decide if you need or do not need additional safety valve. Is it really worth it to skip this safety feature for what you need to pay for the valve? Thanks for your comment Best regards SMI
