how do you file your nails?
@michaellucarelli7 күн бұрын
I don’t know? I pick up at Emory board and start filing a way.. there’s an art form to knowing how to do that. Took me years to know how to do that correctly and then to use them correctly. But I’m not sure how to answer that for you ?
@quarlmephystodot22017 күн бұрын
@@michaellucarelli you have very nice sound. some would arguably say the reverse, but obviously your technique gives you freedom and that is a sign of mastering it. the nails reflect that. your sound is like frederic hand, long nails produce a flippy, tinny sound. but i love it. it also produces much more controlled volume. the best way i found is take a fine nail file (a pad with non detachable grit layer, so you dont get sand dripping when you file) and file the nail WITHOUT going under, left, right, etc. slightly diagonal, slightly slanted to the right side. put the nail on it and dont change that angle. finger files itself on the nail by small pressure while going left right left right, not as some say move the file on a fixed finger. i asked cuz there aint a lot of photos of you nails on the net. and you re quite famous (for those who know a bit about guitar). and your tone is very interesting. plus, they all avoid long nails, but they give the best control ever on guitar.

Hi Mr. Lucarelli: This was beautifully played and thank you so much for posting! I was very curious if you have an arrangement of this piece. Thanks again!

I got this arrangement from Russia. There should be a link of the video description?

Do the bottom 2 strings (low E and A) really vibrate like that? They look super loose. Is it an optical illusion, or is it that I'm unaccustomed to seeing them vibrate that much?
