This music was originally published by the french musical printer Pierre Attaingnant in 1530 from an anonymous composer (with P.B signature on top of the score, perhaps Pierre Blondeau, the king of France, François 1st, musical copyist). Tourdion was a dance coming from the Burgundy court around1450 (during the late medieval times or the early Renaissance). In any case Tourdion had Spanish origins Tourdion came from the french verb "Tordre" meaning toTwist (nous nous tourdions ...en dansant = we twisted ourself... when dancing) and was depicted in the french treatise "l'Orchésographie" by Thoinot Arbeau in 1589. Tourdion made part of a dance triptich "La Magdalena" including: Basse Danse, Recoupe et Tourdion

Scopro ora che in effetti , come del resto si sente bene nel documentario, Salvia di Lucania era il nome originario; e che esiste, come dovrebbe vedersi nella lista dei documentari sulla destra, un movimento per tornare al nome primo; perché questo è il paese del famoso Passannante, la cui commiserevole sorte è un'altra macchia sulla già reale famiglia.

Molto bello, reca uno struggimento ch'è sempre insieme all'umanità scoperta nella sua semplicità antica . Questo anche in Levi, o in Silone. Eppoi conforta che riprendano lena e fascino le musiche popolari; un buon segno per l'Italia, con tutte le sue seducenti varietà :)

Salve! Sono contentissima di vedere questo film qui. Ho visto in 16mm alla biblioteca Donnell a NYC due anni fa, e vorrei sapere se tu hai trovato questo film a NYC o da qualche altra parte, archivio, etc. in Italia. Sto cercando altri film di questo genere fatti nei primi anno dopo guerra che mostrano collaborazioni tra diversi gruppi.
