Yeah Chapter 2 doesn't feel like a high stakes story becouse we are not figthing a big corporation that wasn't to conquer the world(of course) but is more like a personal and intimate tale of a group of people that want to protect their way of life, also it does introduce Aris that would be very important later on. Honestly I can understand people who are not too much into flirting stuff & spicy “fanservice”, & I agree that sometimes it cut through some of the presentation as awkward, however I don’t see how it’s uncomfortable tbh, it’s not like the game is treating the female characters in a rude way or actually extremely weird behaviour + one thing that it’s important to consider it’s that a lot of these artists they are not just working on “fanservice” as something forced by the company, most of them simply like to do spicy stuff as inherent of their art, they do because they like it as more of something for themselves, including female artists & CEO’s, Azur Lane is a big example, I think Azur Lane, Blue Archive or NIKKE would be excellent games for you instead of Snowbreak but I would say imo that I would give at least 1 chance, & the interactions has cute stuff it’s not only about that all the time. Ofc this is suspicious coming from me who doesn’t mind playing games were devs can express beauty as far as they want when it comes to female & male characters, I’m advocate for people playing games independent of that; & to not have prejudice against spicy stuff that it’s not done in a harmful; toxic way to both genders.

this video is kind of interesting in a way that it shows what the general public felt about the game and how it all went down. game released, people said it seem interesting but no one really cared to play it, as time went people called in bland and had even less interest in playing it. then the shift happened- they added fanservice and improved the game, and then people started getting interested, came in and then were like "eww fanservice". leaving immediately. seasun seeing it, just said fuck this shit and just did what they want which garnered a lot of male players. girls seeing it started calling it gross. but at the end of the day, those girls never intended to actually play the game. seasun understood it and focused on the male players which lead to the game recovering. now that the game is good and interesting, those girls get frustrated that the game focus on pleasing they male players, ignoring them completely.

I really like how they tackle fan service stuff in Blue Archive. It's not the main core of BA, but it's sprinkled a lot here and there, while also depicting the dev's passion for the game. Also it's delivered in a more comedic and/or wholesome perspective while also fitting the characters. For example racy Swimsuit Hanako (RUN AWAY SENSEI), more cutesy swimsuit Hoshino, etc. All of those are also mostly from Momotalk (L2D) so it doesn't bother the main story. Even if there is an "ulterior motive", it's usually used as a vehicle to convey affection and leaves you to interpret it as either romantic or platonic. Moreover, Sensei's reaction is usually respectful to them. Even in rare cases where Sensei is being playful, it's ultimately still harmless

Oh Ririna, I'm surprised that you don't know and just jump in lmao. Some recent (new release or changes in this case) gacha games have been making names because they lean to the fan-servicy stuff super hard, and Snowbreak is one of them. The result is real because there are a lot of new players. And people thought Nikke was spicy, and these go even harder. Tho I'll be honest that the quality of animation does go up, so yeah, they find money in their niche, so maybe good for them? This strategy isnt particularly new, as Azur Lane has been doing this for 7 years. Maybe people just don't check out old gacha games. I also don't like too much fan service in a game (unless the game goal itself is fan service). Not that I'm scared of booba; in fact, maybe I would get too distracted. So instead of needlessly grinding to get the "reward," I'll just go to the source and read some "fan works." Funny that you mention age rating because Blue Archive is technically 17+ in the Play Store because of the first time we met Aris CG.

Maybe you can watch the videos of the chapters instead, there are a few that record only the lore and selective gameplay. Basically, Adjuntant was in stasis for two years in space and was awaken quite abruptly. The world has been invaded by the Titans and their titagen contamination spreads rapidly. People are getting infected and pushed back to safe zones for their survival. For those that can't afford to enter safe zones, medicine against titagen contamination are treated like drugs, even though they are quite essencial. The Adjuntant gets rescued and put in charge of a small group of Operatives. He effectivebly serves as radio communications and coordinator. They are under the control of a large corporation. In the early story, we see how the Adjuntant gets used to the missions and the risk of the containment zones. We learn about the infected and a pseudo religion that was formed by using the power granted by the titans/titagen contamination as divine intervention. Our operatives are not immune to the titagen effects, but are resistant. He has to carry medicine or else everyone may perish if the titagen condensation gets too high. We also learn about the other factions that want territory on the containment zone. We learn about the relevant gangs and their infighting and how the military is involved in that. Before chapter 11, the Adjuntant has been to several missions and is known for the prowess of his operatives. He is respected, but gets gravely shot by an unknown assassin. Other operatives get wounded too. We discover that some directors of the company have other plans for the titagen and its application to grant miracle-like powers. We need to investigate inside our own base to discover who is involved, but we are met with several obstacles. That's when it gets interesting. The Adjuntant is contaminated directly by that shot and is forced to fight off the contamination in his body. This knowledge is then use several times to save the lives of his operatives, even bringing them back from the brink of death. Give it a try to just the lore! It's heavy from time to time, but is one of the most realistic and down to earth stories I have read. We see their human limitations and their struggles against the unknown. We also witness how much they are willing to sacrifice in order to gain more power. For the operative that dies... People get shot a lot and there is a fair amount of dying in the story.

Holy Rina, I never thought you would react to this game xDD I played day1 and signed up for beta before that (didn't get chance to test it), not gonna lie it was so rough at first months. The banner cycle are very slow (3weeks?) and I just don't get used to it, and the technical problem is so bad I had to leave lol. I think I came back when tess shows up (21:36) chronologically speaking, I've been cruising on this ever since and take it slow. About story, honestly I can't comment on it since I don't care that much (I do read chapter 1-4 but already forgot) and heard they change the storyline to a new direction. and by direction I mean into fan-service side xDD And yes, they change the rating to 18+ on CN not on global. I'm still playing this cus of the gameplay, it just reminds me of mass effect 3 multiplayer xD I don't hate the fan-service, it definitely help the game financially and the game-play is much better now (compared from released lol) and I'm for it edit- addition: the dating sim part isn't impacting any in-game mechanics, but the dormitory part just give small stat bonuses if you raise your bond and stories with them (like trust and operator files in arknights). also, did FGO is in the list for you test? if it's story-wise, it's a lot of chapters KEKW

KJH isn't just one of the writers, he was the ONLY writer for Lobotomy Corporation and already the Game Director back then. While there are other ones since Ruina who have contributed some banger scenes, he's still the Main Writer and even oversees every single Voice Acting session since LoR to make sure that the Voice Over matches what he envisioned. The whole universe is his brain child, brought to life thanks to his team, which i believe is a major reason as to why he wants to have such a close-knit relationship with them.
