No, the Invery plugs into the ipod socket in the Range Rovers centre cubby box, and your phone connects to the invery via bluetooth and plays through the cars stereo, and all the steering wheel button functions work when playing music.

@@jspope2008 I'm not sure to be honest. When I had mine it worked straight out of the box. Once my phone was connected to the Invery and I had selected ipod on the cars audio screen, all the buttons worked as they should. Not sure how much help they would be, but you could try emailing Invery to see what they say.

Sounds like you’re having fun..both of you…remember you could use the gap tool to check the trans temp when refilling….now l might go and do mine..as I have all the bits..just lacking the time..Great video😁

We tried the Gap tool, but the gearbox temperature was N/A on mine. Had to do it old school.

Exactly! Land Rover and Jaguar both say sealed for life (possibly for the warranty period), but ZF say to service at around 60K miles.

Yes I have had mine rebuilt and definitely change the oil and filter every 50.000 miles for sure great video 👍👍

I'd recommend using the old brake pad to push both pistons in. Saves a lot of the trouble of doing them one by one and also will prevent the popping out. Great video either way!

Great to see you guys getting together. Nice work on the gearbox. When I did mine, I tried to change the mechatronics plastic thing but just wouldn't fit so I ended up refitting the old one which went in perfectly

My LR4 is at 120k miles. I see some online saying don’t open the tranny past a certain mileage, and others saying you can and should service it at anytime, even with higher mileage. Thoughts? Im not sure what to do.

If it’s got oil and a filter, then I would change it. Be a good chance to see if there is any metal or chunks floating around the gearbox.

Question: I've set my inverter settings to: 012 = B2AC 30% ; 013 = AC2B 50% ; 014 = CGPR SNU However I noticed that the utility or AC kicks in when the battery discharges to 80% and not the parameter set in setting 012. I've since changed setting 014 to C50 in order to avoid the AC kicking in. Is there a way/setting I'm missing in order to meet the parameters in settings 012 & 013?

Just a note on the data logger. You can basically have it as real time data if you configure it on the advanced settings of the logger IP address. The minimum latency is 0.10 (10 sec). I've personally set mine to 1 or 1 minute. This should be plenty good enough for anyone.

@@Bensgarage my old TD6 running Pirelli scorpion’s was terrible for it! My current 3.6TDV8 seems to cope a lot better but that’s most likely due to the terrain response!

Both have All Terrain tyres, but they were full of mud, so might as well have been slicks.

Hello Ben…466 is UHF…I mounted my uhf radio under the left(RHD) centre kick panel and have the mic with all the controls sitting in the centre consule hidden from view..I routed the cables through the centre consul and have a Through the glass antenna at the top of the windscreen.that I had to mount between the wires of the heated screen..it works well and does not make the interior look busy…So I don’t have cables all over the place..Here in Aus we have software called Ozziexplorer that runs the same as you have with a seperate gps bluetoothed to a laptop that shows all the off road track in the outback of Aus..I been using this for many years…Hope you can get away soon for some off-roading as it does make you feel good!🙂

Had 4 Rangeys. My iiD tool paid for itself on my first fault, fixed air susp fault n cleared board fault. Would have been $2k at stealership. Got free transfers to all my new cars. Did the free firmware update for my new 2017sdv8 sport dynamic. Turned off the auto stop start nonsense with the multican 566 trick. Love my iid tool. Allways in the car. Wouldnt have a Rangey without one.

Wifi is used just to do updates, and there is a subscription after two years. It’ll still work after the two years, just won’t be able to update it.

Yes, expecting them at some point during next week, hope to get some videos put together. The scan tool does have the oil reset function, which I assume would put the service light out. I’ve only done it using the iCarsoft LR v2, and of course the GAP IID tool.

A common area is in the boot, have a look under the spare wheel to see if there is water. It’s normally the sunroof drains that block and water gets into the back of the car.

It works just like any other scan tool really. Would probably spend a bit more to get one with all systems, but I do like the lifetime free updates.

Can any one please help me I cannot finger out if what I have planned will work. I have a 5kwh off grid inverter Growatt 500es, the reason I picked this model it no batteries are required and any power my solar will not supply it will be toped up from the grid. I want to put the 4 panels on my garage roof facing south south west. And 4 panels on my flat against my west west south wall. The inverter specs are as follows 5Kwh inverter 450v PV input max 22ah PV input max Where I live on an island in the UK it is almost impossible to get low ah panels 10 or bellow, but very easy to get high Watt panels like 550w+ Unfortunately they are all around 50v VOC x 14ah STC. I want to connect them in parallel in pairs of 4. In my head this should work as I should never hit the 22ah current but I’m just not sure. Can an expert please explain why this would and wouldn’t work. Thanks
