That crazy Dr. Handy was quite fond of Miss Lizzie and I always wondered what ppl in Fall River REALLY thought of him and his strange story about a wild eyed man or did they see right thru it? I hope you had a lovely dinner Miss Shelley💜

Thank you so much. Learning more about Emma’s life is so crucial to understanding certain aspects of the Borden case. I lived across the street from Maplecroft for 10 years. I’d often see tourists taking photos or stopping by just out of curiosity. People are fascinated with all things Borden.

I have been so fascinated with this house for years. Not only because of its historical significance, but just how beautiful the house is and how well they restored it. Do you know what has happened to this house? I heard that they were trying to turn it into a museum but that they didn't end up doing that. Do you know if someone bought it? I'm anxious since the historical restoration they did is too incredible to throw out!

It is a private family home now with three young children. They have been living there for nearly 2 years. It was going to open as a bed and breakfast about 3 years ago but those owners sold the house and there were some issues with zoning, handicapped access and other things.

There is a recently remodeled bath off the kitchen which used to be the pantry and sink room in 1892. The girls' dress closet at the top of the stairs is now a shower and bathroom, the third floor has a shower stall, toilet and sink where there used to be a very small bedroom.

Ghastly what has happened to the backyard as well as the properties across the street. That’s a worse crime than the murders themselves. Really appalling. It makes me want to buy the property and *actually* restore it. And I’m not crazy about that green paint they’ve had on the house for the last several years.
@LizzieBordenWarpsandWefts
@LizzieBordenWarpsandWefts 4 ай бұрын
I agree with everything you say. Yes, the green paint is not the correct color and is not holding up well. It is Rhino Coat ceramic paint. Second Street was a lovely residential street in 1892. Urban blight has set in. The city tears down every beautiful building it seems.

@@LizzieBordenWarpsandWefts It’s really tragic. Is there just nothing that can be done because the populace is disinterested? I live in NYC; wish I were local. The most I can do is donate to the Fall River Historical Society (which I adore; the city doesn’t deserve them).

Why couldn't Lizzie leave Fall River and start a new life why bother to stay at Fall River if they hated her so much and she was doomed to loneliness. Her sister Emma left her and I think it was b/c of the murders. They couldn't prove she did it and if she did do it it was probbaly due to money. Lizzie was doomed to loneliness and I can relate to that. Loneliness doesn't bother me people suck and I can't stand people. Its better be left alone. Lizzie and I have alot in common.

Uncle John did not live there- he was visiting some cousins who lived there. What is on the plaque? The Emerys lived at #4 later renumbered 24. They lived on the second floor. The yellow and brown house in the video, #24 is the correct house where John Morse stopped by to visit the day of the murders.
