Legalise cannabis. There's enough of us in the UK using it for medicine / entheogenic / or recreational purposes that we've got the right to use it. There's a whole community of cannabis users who the government consistently demonise and punish. I use cannabis for my mental health, for my arthritis and for my spiritual practices, in some cultures it's considerd soma or sacred, for me it's a shamanic tool as well. Point is you're not going to stop people using it and a lot of people are being punished for simply trying to medicate a health issue, or manage trauma, most people have a drink at the end of the day, or go out on a friday night to unwind, it's no different. Penalising people for trying to manage their mental health is the most spiteful and vindictive way to approach the problem. prison doesn't rehabilitate people it just makes g4s and serco money, that's what's wrong with the world today, humans are treated like a commodity, a cash cow, there's no compassion or empathy for the underlying causes of peoples substance abuse, just simply punish them for not being able to cope with the system, the everyday grind, the monotany, the malaise. The current approach to drugs forces users to buy on the black market, nobody knows it they are actually getting what they are being told they are getting. Government could easily grow enough and put a tax on it and still undercut the black market, it's a no brainer but the govt are so retarded and so ignorant. they would rather punish everyone for trying to manage their health issues. If govt were to legalise plant medicines like cannabis / psilocybin and ahayusca/dmt there would a massive shift in the state of peoples mental health. By legalising it you could free up prison spaces, free up resources, free up taxes, free up mental health beds. There would genuinely be a massive change in the attitudes of everyone, humanity would actually grow. but govt are not interested in helping you achieve a better version of yourself, they don't want humanity to grow Prisoners should be given mandatory ahayusca sessions, they would then rehabilitate properly, the current system doesn't do anything and is a complete waste of resources. As a human being, born on planet earth, as an earthling, irrespective of the systems in place and the words that are written on pieces of paper that everyone is so scared off, irrespective of the society i am born into, I as an Earthling have the right to use whatever plants i see fit whenever and whereever i see fit. Allow people to grow up to 5 cannabis plants at home and carry up to 14 grammes upon their person All non-violent drug offences should carry a non-prison sentence, just increase the amount of community service they do to 2000 hours minimum - would free up prison spaces, resources etc, but hey-ho govt are NOT listening.

The Tory party are still critical of Gordon Brown and the level of debt the Torys inherited. Brown saved the banking system by pouring huge amounts of money to prop them up. This investment saw the government become part owners of the banks. The Conservatives benefitted from this when the banks were in a position to buy back the shares. What did the austerity party do with this money? They gave it away in tax cuts for the rich.

And what help did Brown give out to hard working folks who lost millions in 2008. And still nobody called to account. Browns a crim like Blair.
@gary1642
@gary1642 12 сағат бұрын
@honourthefire9182 he unbelievably lost office 2 yrs later when Clegg inexplicably handed the keys of No 10 to Cameron and Osborne, a decision that all todays problems can be directly attributed to. Austerity is still to blame for people losing their lives 14 yrs later. The windfall when the banks bought the shares back should have gone to the poor not the wealthy. These bankers have had their huge bonuses handed back to them by the present government. The same banks are holding back mortgages for first time buyers demanding large deposits inspite of conditions stated by Brown when he was PM. How you can criticise Brown after what he did and ignore what has happened since leaves me lost for words. Barack Obama tells a story at a meeting it was Brown who stood up and was the only person in the room that offered any ideas. He calls Brown the man who saved the West from financial chaos.

I had always voted Conservative since that real Conservative Margaret Thatcher, but you have lied to us so many times about immigration, tax, islam, pensions, Ukraine, covid 19, and the vaccines, that I will never vote Conservative again. My Army pension is taxed, and you want me to believe only now that you want to fix that? The contempt you have for ordinary men and women is breathtaking. Of course, I could never vote communist, sorry Labour, but the Conservatives are just the right of centre of labour. Just keep letting millions of ne'er do wells into the country who hate us, like you have been doing for the last fourteen years, and the words of Enoch Powell will become manifest. I will vote for a much more radical party on immigration. Your ineptitude and lying is radicalising people.

Reality check: Tax burden highest in 70 years. The roads are full of potholes, our rivers are full of sewage, there are nasty sickness bugs showing up in tap water, e-coli outbreaks due to health & safety cuts, there are 5 hour waits for ambulances, people can't get a Doctor's appointment, NHS dentists are almost extinct, 600+ police stations closed since 2010, court system backlog, legal aid cuts, disabled people have taken their own lives due to cruel welfare reforms, housing is unaffordable, homelessness and food banks visible all over the country, political sleeze & constant chaos... If you think the Tories will win - Start packing.

Imagine doing all that homework and then making an incorrect assumption for your conclusion. £38.529bn / 18.4m is not how the tax system works. Here's why: Last year the government raised £1095bn in taxes. Divide that by 18.4m and you get £59,511. So by Tory figures every household is paying nearly £60,000 per year in taxes. If their maths is that bad, no wonder national debt went up by £300million every day for 14 years!
@user-bl1ne3ji3d
@user-bl1ne3ji3d 16 сағат бұрын
that's because, they borrowed instead of us paying the £60,000. We can't keep borrowing. Labour will have to find it from somewhere?

Was this fact checked? As you "did" in 2019 GE by renaming yourself as FACTCHECK.UK☑️? Same in here: no links to figures, analysis, facts or sources - just relying on Conservative supporters' Google algorithm to find skewed info that algorythm will find for them. You could've add a banner with a link to click it. But that would meant that they'd either find out the truth or you'd would have to lie in that link you post. So what did YOU choose, Cinservatives? Lies and deception. Again!
