Awesome crossbow. What type of wood did you use? I'm interested in making one too.

My dad knows how to play the "nca" I think thata how its spelled. I tried playing it but nothing comes out of it. My dad also blows the leaf and whistle with his hands into songs. Great documentary on this!

Holy Crap! This grandpa is from the same village my father and grandpa was borned. They have got to have known each other. I’ve been to Non Het back in 1999 to visit and honor my great grandpa’s grave. The village today is so much more modernized and not the same anymore. Would love to visit again soon and talk to him for more history. Kuv yawg yog Col. Neej Lauj Yaj - from Non Het - 1930’s - 1960’s

I'm glad you translated "Suav" as Han and not the other term like most ignorant Hmong people would say, which is used to refer to all ethnic groups originated in land of Chin. Hmong are also part of that.

I live in Minnesota where there's a sizable Hmong community and I've worked and hung out with many of them. Very courteous, hard working and they have a great sense of humor! Watching this video I have a deeper appreciation for the beauty of their culture!!!

Thank you for your message! Next week I fly to Panama for my 6th Carnival in my lifetime. Im Panamanian born in Panama but I grew up in the US. Thankfully for my wife who also is Panamanian born and raised in Panama I’ve been able to connect back with my roots over the last nearly 20 years. Carnival holds such a dear and special place for many of us Panamanians. We’ve gained new family and we’ve also loss some. Carnivals always seems to find a way to bring us all together to celebrate life and our country.❤

Hmong get up, get up to achieve your life ( sawv os peb Hmoob, sawv los caum peb lub hom phiaj )

I use to wonder why the OGs would tell me "Oh this music is so sad it tells this story about blah blah." I had no idea it was tones of words played into music. I will try to listen to them closer next time. Very interesting.

Love how you heat treated your own arrowheads and weighed them to make sure they fly consistently! Very smart and methodical my brother! The only thing I would add is ib rab menyuam taus phua tus mos lwb lub pelvis thiab hauv siab ( pelvis and sternum) a little saw would help too but that’s just to conserve your fine edge for finer cuts if needed it’s not too important because our parents and OGs have done everything with just that traditional hmong knife so kudos brother! Look forward to more of your content! 🙏
