Sorry but nope. I guess, it's a style you enjoy as a fan of the Master of Puppets Album, but now the Song just sounds like a generic Thrash Metal Song. Frantic is living from the dynamics in speed and wich was created by the little pauses. The St. Anger Album would be great if remixed poperly. But just messing around with it's arrangement and overall style won't fix a thing.

Hot take, St. Anger (Yes, the full album.) in my opinion doesn't need any fixing. The Snare is good, the tuning is... a fucking tuning and no solos in my opinion was an upside. (Kirk's solos are usually too long and I really don't like them much most of the time. HOWEVER, I still love old Metallica and New Metallica.)

That’s exactly what it should have sounded like. Good job. The Kirk style solo was spot on.

Just play the amp. This doesn't prove the amp is any good. The songs are taking over for the amp sounds

I might be in the minority but I think some of the super down tuned stuff sounds too muddy.

Cool approach but i think it's played a little bit too straight. And a bit too fast. The song lost its groove and heaviness. In the main riff, the vibrato on last note they were hanging on is such a key part of this song(its a double note too!!). It's really missing here.

It peps shite like Nickleback right up but doesn’t add to classics like walk or master of puppets or bulls. Painkiller I couldn’t even equate.....

Omg that’s my younger brother who’s singing in your video! Otu! He’s amazing. He was actually already singing all the time and very creative at a very early age. He was singing before he could even talk properly 😸. He was always obsessed with all things creative in general ❤️. He learnt to play on my guitars, that’s why he still plays with the strings upside down since he plays left handed but learnt to play on my right handed guitars. Awesome video! I remember the day when I bought St Anger, I preferred watching the dvd that came with it. I actually like the album. But the sounds were a bit too low fi for my taste. Although with time I’ve grown to appreciate the album a lot more. Metallica came to play in Helsinki in 2004 and apart of the ticket was a showing of the Some Kind Of Monster doc movie, it was a very cool thing to first go see the movie and then see em play. First time I saw them was in 99 with Jason still on bass 🙏

I agree: it doesn‘t need any fixing! It fascinates me that people doesn‘t have any problems with polished, harmless, artificial sounding Snare Sounds like on their last two Albums, but go crazy for decades over a not nice sounding Snare Drum.🙂
