Were you getting any codes? I've been trying to fix this P1092 code and I have replaced everything but the engine and the stupid code comes back with the dash light. I will try this and hope that works. My fuel trims are fine but the P1092 keeps coming back. The Smog guy passed the smog for me because the light shut off but the code was stored in there. Thanks so much for helping the E46 community.

I have positive High LTFT & STFT, LTFT %26 and STFT 18%, STFT increasing with high RPM and LTFT degrees with High RPM but not gose less than %18 whatever RPM, Example, LTFT %26 and Change to 18% once touch accelerate paddle and stuck at %18 even if 6000 RPM, I made smoke test but no leak at all Replaced Valve cover including low pressure fuel pump with filter Also changed intake gasket but still same symptoms, Last thing replaced Bank1 sensor 1 O2 sensor, You think bank1 sensor 2 O2 sensor causing high fuel term or something else ?

Hello, ur video is good on ditty cats because I've had jerking in 1st gear only , car drives good otherwise. I've had this problem for 12 years since I bought car. If I drive steady in 1st gear & use second gear to hard accelerate then it's o.k. what I want to ask u is can u use DPF in petrol car because u did on ur video but when I look it up online it says only for Diesel engines. The flywheel locking tool seems to do nothing. I'm not certain all these online timing tool kits are the same. The kit I have allows the crankshaft to move feely when it's suppose to be locked in TDC.

I’ve got an exhaust leak sound 100% but I removed my manifolds today and the gaskets weren’t leaking and I can’t find any cracks in the manifolds. No sign of soot anywhere very annoyed I removed them for nothing 🙄

Hi. You mention misfire.. was your eml light on? My e46 eml turned on and i lost power. When i rev the gas pedal. Once it hit 2000rpm it bogs down like mo power and want to stall. Feel like something is holding in the power.. rpm can’t go past 2000, it goes back down soon as it hits 2000. Pls help.

Mines done 256k and it’s finally given up it’s had it’s oil changed about 8 times since new but yeah sadly it’s given up massive free play and bad clunking in 1st and second gear also a lot of whining 😢

yes, this type of 2-piece oil control ring design is bad. It gets carboned up and block off all the small holes and no more oiling on the rings and skirt. You knoe it is bad by design, then why did use replace it with the same? Switch to the standard 3-piece design would be a better solution I believe.

Thanks for the video. In the Z3 it is a real problem because you are practically sitting on the differential and there is very little sound proofing. The car is a hobby, so half the fun is the repair😂. My car has 62K miles (nearly 100k km) diff fluid has been serviced. I really only notice it backing out of garage at slow speeds. I am thinking that you have pinpointed the issue……not sure what my solution will be as it isn’t that bad.

Those butterfly valves are in there for a reason. I believe they're supposed to stay closed. While the car is warming up while it Heats up the cats. And it's supposed to have a little bit more pressure until the car's warmed up and you're on the gas over 2000 rpm. And then they should open. I wouldn't recommend drilling holes in something that a car manufacturer put there for a reason in the first place
