Im having fun I feel like im learning pretty fast! I got destro0yed in casual by plat and diamond players so i went to ranked and said i was a beginner and im destroying most iron players. only 4 hours played online. 2 hours in ranked and im up 1k lp.

I just posted a short on my gameplay and I feel like I already have a super easy anti air approach and have already got down some practice on it in live matches. Super easy on modern controls on ken. Forward special upper cut is super good.

hey man I've got a question, I wanted to learn fighting games for long, and now I am really willing to learn sf6. The character I want to learn the most is chun li, I know she is a hard character but I really love her move set, and want to learn her. The problem is, that she doesnt seem to own a 3 or 4 part target combo. Most combos I found include some kind of speacials. So my Question is, should I play another character like luke or ken for the beginning until I nailed down these fundamentals, and then swap to chun li when I get to combos with supers, or just stick to chun li and learn a combo with a special? This is really a great video and I think the steps needed to not get frustrated again, so I really would appreciate the help!

I think you should stick with the character you like the most because you will be motivated to play them if you have the most fun with them. If Chun doesn't have any good target combos for this purpose, its not the end of the world. All you need to do is find another string that works. It will likely not be as easy because of the link vs the target, but if you focus only on one or two of these is should still be manageable for a new player. Apologies, I don't play Chun, but if you want to keep it really simple, and can throw in a special move instead, could go for c.LK c.LP qcf LK as a simple combo to do the same thing. A little bit more of an execution barrier but Id say try it out as a starting point and look up some character specific stuff. This has to be hands down the best beginner video i have come across. I have played Street Fighter in the past off and on but wasn't winning consistently, When SF6 came out i of course dove right in and was getting my ass handed to me left and right. i was getting really frustrated and then saw this video. Needless to say im sticking to the BASICS and im actually winning a lot more. hopefully i will become a master but GREAT job man. I actually feel like i want to play and keep telling myself K.I.S.S. lol.

I bought sf6 a couple months ago and so far i only have a single match under my belt, against a diamond ryu, me as cammy. (First street fighter that ive ever played, this shit is insane but i want to get better because it just looks incredible to me.) I love this game despite how little time i have on it, so things like this are helpful, especially since i want to pick up classic over modern😂
