I love watching videos of old shot put competitions and hearing the commentators sound stupid as they talk about how the spin is inconsistent having seen what’s happened to shot put in recent years

How big was he as a Freshman and for how long had he been throwing? There must be a story to winning Penn Relays 4 times, throwing 75+ in high school and then throwing 65 in college. 65 is great for regular humans. But, winning Penn Relays as a 14-year-old would indicate someone eventually surpassing what mere mortals can do.

How long have you been at Findlay?
@MattMarcoccia
@MattMarcoccia 10 жыл бұрын
I transferred here August of 2013 so I'm in my second semester. I've found Findlay to be a really good fit for me for training and school as well. Just have to keep working and be patient for some big throws to come.

No I know you could have. "Look at" fouls in my experience, though easily savable, look more off balance than that.

@TheAndyharris 10 pounds is not a standard. That varies from area to area. 12 pounds is though. Your very first statement with the kilograms was still wrong though.
@TheAndyharris

@EndlersaurusRex And they start with 12lb. at 15 years old , The JV does NOT throw a lighter shot than the Varsity
@TheAndyharris
@TheAndyharris 12 жыл бұрын
exactly and not one of them threw a 10lb , my son never threw a 10 lb, starting at freshman year its 12 lb , there is no 5 k in it anywhere .
@EndlersaurusRex
@EndlersaurusRex 12 жыл бұрын
@TheAndyharris No I'm not because it's a national standard. The U.S. does not use international implements outside of international competitions. For instance, Hayden Bailio, Stephen Saenz, Michael Carter, etc. all great shot putters (the last the U.S. record holder for H.S.) all did it with a 12# and they're all from Texas.

@TheAndyharris Texas does 8# or 4k for junior high, 10 pound for JV in HS (Frosh/Soph), and 12 for Varisty. 10# doesn't equal 5k, and 12 pounds doesn't equal 6k. Everywhere in the U.S. uses the same weight.
@TheAndyharris
@TheAndyharris 12 жыл бұрын
@EndlersaurusRex Not sure about that. Texas does use what i said. a few states like Cali, make rules up as they go .
@EndlersaurusRex
@EndlersaurusRex 12 жыл бұрын
@TheAndyharris Where are you from? The U.S. is the only area not to use that standard, and we don't use the one you mentioned.
@TheAndyharris
@TheAndyharris 12 жыл бұрын
@EndlersaurusRex Not in this part of the world they do not. That is why i asked because small kids in Middle school use the 5 k . (14-15 years old) 16-18 use 6 k , 18 + use 7.26, and the guy in the Vid is way past being 15 years old.
@EndlersaurusRex
@EndlersaurusRex 12 жыл бұрын
@TheAndyharris Boys age 16 and 17 use the 5k. 18 and 19 use the 6k, and 20+ use the 7.26k
