The plain back looks wrong, it's as if it's two different shirts. This is just a change of design for the sake of it (& money of course).

@@zombiecrew85 It was never an issue when I was going to Hillsborough regularly in the 1970's. It's not a 50yr old problem. How many clubs in the world play in blue & white stripes? Are all those fans moaning about being unable to see the name/numbers?

Love it, and I'm so happy about the white panel on the back for where the numbers go so I can actually read them from the stands. The red last season looked good but against the blue and white stripes it wasn't half difficult to read😂

@@bobbennett4813 it was a contrast thing, I must admit it was a lot easier as the season went on and I could tell the new players apart, but early on it was impossible 😂

There was a time when numbers related to positions but now they don’t mean anything. I mean number 45, etc.? The plain back distorts the tradition of a stripped Wednesday shirt and it’s only there so TV & radio commentators don’t have to do much prep and club owners can cynically sell iron on numbers as an upsell.
