Hey bud I would check and see if your heads are from 71 and older cause those are the heads that came with 385 hours power , also 1977 did come with 460 stock they where just built kinda weak cause of the oil crisis so you might actually have a stock 77 460 but bad ass truck man, also I have a 77 ford f 150 on 38 with the mp305 4 speed manual and it does run up to 80 mph in 4th the c 6 is just kind of a weak transmission always go manual handle more power and torque

Since you are going to drive. Bring 5-10gal of gas/diesel for the drive. Also extra spare tires for truck and trailer. There are sections where there is no gas for 200+ miles and part of the road suck. Have fun and be safe.

I'd rather see the fummins mudding or trail riding or other trucks or suv mudding or trail riding. Personally I don't care for sherps I don't think many other people do either. I wanna see something realistic trucks and SUVs mudding like your old videos before it turned to a fummins. Not anybody could just buy a sherps. Even if I could afford one I wouldn't buy one, I'd rather mud and trail ride in an American made truck!
