how are you able to do enough damage to that black sphere? Even with a class 2 strike there isn't enough time. The stupid asshole devs made that window way to quick.

You should use an attack up item (Drake's Scale) for this fight. No reason not to if you're not gonna die like this. Same fight, 33% faster probably. Looks like you lowered his defense with Broken Lines, but if you wanted to go more aggressive on other chain abilities equipped (from all available in party, and NG+), Broken Lines could be dropped for a defense down item.

Damn didn't know wind was his weakness. This helped along with seeing how you tackled him in general. This difficulty is utterly insane.

In the PSP and Requiem version (PS4), the Holy Sword & Muramasa are only available as enemy item drops from Vandal Sword (Sword Lord). To obtain both swords, you need to make your way up to the "Clock Tower" area above the "Long Library" area which is on the upper right corner of the map. When you enter the clock tower (building) after getting past multiple enemies and collapsing bridges, travel left past the moving gear/cog rooms and head towards a room on the upper left entrance in the final gear/cog room. You will see a room full of broken stairs and multiple Sword Lord's in the ruined environment. When defeating a Sword Lord in this specific area, he won't die completely. Sword Lord will enter a resurgence phase, transforming into "Vandal Sword" as a last stand. His appearance is a blue silhouette with a broken sword; this form will also drop items in addition to Sword Lord's items. You can destroy Vandal Sword by attacking his sword. I recommend using the "Alucart" set for an additional +30 points of luck along with 2 rings of arcana. The Moonstone is also a good choice; this item increases Alucard's overall stats by +5 including luck, except for defense (+2). P.S. Castlevania Requiem is a PS4 exclusive because Sony partnered with Konami. In a statement to GameSpot, a Konami representative confirmed that Requiem will be a Sony exclusive: “As it stands, there are no plans to bring Requiem to other platforms,” they said. First released for the PS1 in 1997, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night has become a blueprint for an entire genre of videogame.

Is a no-damage run possible with an all-girl squad, or will his desperation attack kill you without Kevin? :)

All you need to do to avoid any desperation attack is just enough meter to trigger one of your skills, since you're invulnerable while it's going off. Even a level 1 can avoid... I want to say most of the desperation moves in the game, if not all, if you time it right as the move is going off you avoid all damage. Stopping the desperation moves is mostly to stagger the enemy and get in more damage (or stop them from healing in Lightgazer's case).

0:12 I tend to lose my momentum and my shinespark goes away I tried pressing down and go into the morphball but it disappears. This is the last item I need.

It’s better to start from the left…Start on the ground just before the little drop off and by the time you get to the wall you can store your spark then just turn around dash through and complete your spark…No need to use bombs or reason to leave that room to start in another…

This guy killed my No Future run, even though I beat it. I just stopped having fun after this. Also, did Mispolm kill your uncontrolled party members too? Because it kept doing that to me even though I had the skill.

Come to think of it, I remember that happening on occasion and I think it was this boss. Guess there's just so much crap flinging around in this fight that the game can't keep up with the immunity sometimes.

For me it might be Lightgazer. That thing was cheapness incarnate. Can hit you coming down AND do damage jumping up, so if you're hitting him while he's going for a jump he gets free gazing hit? The fuck is that. Along with all the teleporting which made it a slog chasing him down, and the goddamn wonky hitboxes in general.

This sucks on No Future Difficulty. Took me over 15 tries. That carpet bombing section in the last 3rd of the fight was simply HELL.

It's a skill they introduced along with the No Future difficulty, and is only available on that difficulty. It keeps your party alive at 1 HP as long as you're not controlling them (but of course you can die usually in a single hit, can only revive a character 3 times since you can only use 3 of any item in a fight on No Future, and the party can die the second you take over controlling them). Their AI isn't great so they'd die too much without that skill and make the mode a de facto solo challenge. No Future also introduced a skill to top up your party after every fight, and disabled a lot of the more broken skills you have by endgame on other difficulties.

@@Phantasiu Yeah, I'm barely able to face a second phase of the Anise in Expert mode, already very broken. I don't even want to see Black Rabbit. Just for fun I started a No Future mode, regular Rabite lvl1 kill me with one hit. I dont know. In the remake it looks too easy or too broken.

@@RafaelSouza-oo2uq it's... not easy. You gotta get right with dodging and keeping on the move. Knowing when to switch characters is important too, as well as timing CS in order to either finish a DPS check or I-frame through a failed one.

You could have use Duran's Hollow Slash for the last Blue Gauge since it hit in a linear and travel the all arena it can break 2 pillars at once making the last one with 4 Pillars possible to break ^^.

In the PSP/Requiem versions, you have to get it via an enemy drop. In the original version of the game it's in this room instead of the Nose Devil familiar (but also still available from an enemy).
