Ally X has 80wh battery. What do you expect? It will be the same if Steam Deck 2 got a 100wh battery and beat the rest of them. At this point no need to compare them just buy the best one on the market when you got the cash. Because they are all going to be replaced again after 12 months. This is the fate of all PC gaming devices. Go console gaming if you want to have a true peace in mind.

Managed finish the setup on desktop mode and managed to play and added it to steam. Problem is on game mode. It launches but after that: Failed to Initialize Graphics. Make sure you have DirectX 11 installed, have up to date drivers for you graphics card and have not disabled 3D acceleration in display settings. InitializeEngineGraphcis Failed

I think I'll just wait till steam can get the game to launch.

yes but you tested the same resolution on ally x and steam deck, which I don’t think ally x users will always target. Or am I missing something? Thank you so much for taking that insane amount of your time to give us this quality battery test, it is the best one i have seen so far, i would only have maybe prefered to have at the end the tdp be 15w on all, so change the 17 of the X to manual 15w, as to have result that are base on same tdp, but that is nit picking ^^, I would love to see same testing done bu about the performance avg fps, 1% low and so on. Suscribing to hopefully see other great content ;)

Honestly I'm fine with the SD OLED battery, the only thing which annoys me about it is that I cannot play certain multiplayer games cause of the anti cheat code..

Man I just got my Legion Go a month ago, kinda regretting it now lol I should've waited... The battery life is atrocious

Ive got both the oled and the X, i cant compare them and love both. They go hand in hand for diffferent sotuations .

I had a legion go battery test with 2D games like ninja turtles TDP 8W and it lasted around 4hrs and 30mins at 5% battery. Not sure why yours is 3hrs only

Gonna sell my Ally and get the X I can't wait. I might but it before my Ally is even sold in so hyped

I had a legion go and got an x. X feels better to hold for me and play. Legion has a great stand and the screen is great. You can do integer scaling too.

I am curious. Would you guys be interested in a sort of, deeper dive into these results? My thoughts on them, and perhaps going over my methodology and my thoughts? Why I did some things, why I didn't do some things, and all sorts of other things that didn't make it in this video?

thumbs up to this video truly apples to apples compared to the rest, If i didnt already have my Deck Oled and Legion Go id probably consider this but as of now the price of admission is a bit to steep to justify battery alone. the next one will need to be Next gen, but cool device regardless.

If i were playing dragons dogma on battery i would cap the framerate at 30 or 40 fps. Same with elden ring

im gonna wait for the Ally 2 tho. I hope they can make the screen larger to like 8inch and push the battery even further to like 100whr. What i cannot see them doing is slapping oled and making a dedicated linux OS for it.
