This happened to me last weekend when I was thrown from my tube. Actually, 6 people were thrown from their tubes/kayaks within a 45-minute time span. Don't underestimate the power of water- even the Kuna creek in your backyard that looks harmless enough!!!

I feel sorry for the Tibetan people who almost certainly oppose these dams and have no say over what happens to their occupied country. But all you can do is small things. Make people aware. Eventually you will be heard, and something good will come from your efforts and pain. If not, in the end we will just destroy ourselves. And all this will be returned to nature.

Really nice twilight time-laps of the village in sunset - wow. Too bad the Argo still only comes with Alloy and no wood version frame

I have a early 1990s Avon 13 foot inflatable (maybe a SuperSport?). I think it's made of hypalon material, not PVC. Could you tell me the material type of this craft. Thank you.

I was at the Canadian Canoe Museum today. I watched - I believe it was a 5 minute (possibly a bit longer) segment of this. I made a note of the title in my phone. So glad I did. :) This was wonderful.

In the past, the way things used to be,,,, I don't think anyone "felt safe" trying to survive in the wild salmon river country. If you think the MFS is a safe place, you are asking for trouble. The river is too old to give a rip about people. Many learn that the hard way.

What size would you recommend for a 125# paddler that would like to get into whitewater with going no further than easy class II? Paddler mainly does flat water. Thanks
@NRSWEB
@NRSWEB 15 күн бұрын
We would recommend the 96 for whitewater pursuits with a paddler that size. If the paddler wants a board that can also be used for longer paddles on flat water or touring, as well as on whitewater, the 110 could be a better option.

I got pinned on Cadron creek once, Early march. Nothing but a wetsuit and fleece. Swam about 1/4 mile. So glad it ended well. Great teamwork by all.

Why are the other PFDs not as comfortable? Especially since most people who use PDFs are not, "serious paddlers, river guides, and instructors". The common paddlers, who are not pros, are actually those who need the most comfortable PDFs. Also, how necessary is a rescue knife? Has anyone ever used one? That is, because they had to, not to eat their bacon. Do you have any statistics? Or, if not, testimonials.

I have a gash that is about 2 inches long. Immediately next to the fin is attached to the board. Mine is the body glove performer. It’s an older model and the fins look like they’re just glued or attached to the board. They don’t come out. the rip is right next to where those are attached the board the only way to patch. It is going to be with a patch that goes from the soft flexible material of the board and then go onto the hard plastic of the fit itself. I don’t know if if that’s even possible.

Great adventure and excellent video, thank you for sharing. Always interesting to hear from the local Hopi and Navajo how these changes have really affected them over time. We really need to evaluate the next 100 years before moving forward with a new river contract in 2026. Securing the Navajo their promised share of all this water being wasted for profit downstream is critical after all this time and what Glen Canyon Dam did to the area.
