Hello, my name is Roman. I am from the Czech Republic. I play for people's pleasure and convey the mood. I changed many guitars and I kept looking for this exact guitar, but somehow we missed each other. In the end, she came to me second hand. I bought it from a guy who didn't play it much. She was too heavy for him. I was in seventh heaven. It is still made in Korea, before they started making them in China. in 1996 and has serial number 36. I am proud of her. After the purchase, I thought about how to tune it, I replaced the plastic with bone and ordered a Grover mechanism, exactly the one that Jamey has on his guitar. Then I was looking for inspiration in music and as if by God I came across Jamey on KZfaq and his song Lead me home, for which I wrote Czech lyrics so that people here in the Czech Republic could understand it. Believe it or not I did all the editing before I saw Jamey and then this song that captured my heart. Ever since then I've liked Jamey a lot, he's a great inspiration to me. And a big thanks to the guys at Epiphone, Unfortunately, the only thing I don't have on it are the same electronics. I have a slightly different one and it's a bit damaged, I'll look for the same one to replace it, I don't want to put any new ones in there. Hopefully one day it will be possible...I love that instrument. Good luck to you all. Roman

Ok so here’s my take on it if it means anything. Mahogany seemed muted to me, damp sound. Rosewood sounded deep and full of resonance while Koa sounded just like the Rosewood but with a more defined attack.

Koa>Mahogany>Rosewood>Standard. First one with the more complex and richest harmonics, last one is still an impressive good sounding guitar. Great comparison. Seeing this 7 years later but, it doesn't matter because it's a good review.

I really wish these would be produced more regularly by Gibson. I managed to pick up a 2018 AG Parlor Rosewood with the burst. As much as people whined about Richlite I can assure you they miss the medullary rays and the straight grain Rosewood as of 2024.

Old Maple worth a fortune for just the signatures. You have kept it in good shape over the years and I'm glad, doing the upkeep to take care of this cherished item. Loved your music for a long time. I wanted to go see you so badly but sadly, when you made it to my area, my health wouldn't allow me to attend. But, I still enjoy you on you- tube. Prayers to JJ for safe travels.

Not a fan of binding on my Teles but I'm crazy about 60s Tele s because of the clean headstock and wouldn't buy any other era since getting my Vintera 60s modified. That one sounds amazing but theres something very formal about the double binding for me. i would feel underdressed playing in without my best suit on lol.

It sounds very nice, but I don’t think Taylor has come in to their element when it comes to dreadnoughts. The 210 dreadnaught back in the day pretty much did. After that, it was all about Powell designed guitars, and it shows. Taylor has its niche, but Martin (and Gibson) still dominate the dreadnoughts market. IMO, Taylor needs to hire a Luther hoe really has an ear for dreadnoughts. Considering how much Taylor has going for them with everything else, I think they’d smash it out of the ball park. The V class bracing would be a big plus too. Just sayin’!

Wow, i wasn't expecting so much difference! The Sapele sounds good, but the Walnut really comes alive. The walnut has a richer, more intricate and fuller tone. I am blown away by how much difference it makes on a laminated back and sides, but i guess that's why a new Walnut 110e costs a hundred bucks more than the Sapele laminate. I am going to buy the Walnut model now. Glad i ran across your comparison video before making the wrong choice, so thank you.
