I'm sorry, but any list that doesn't include Cattlemen's isn't Oklahoma. The best places taste like home and they generally aren't fancy or extravagant. The best meals of my life were served in my Great Aunt Zella's kitchen. Her sour dough rolls, she called them biscuits lol, were without doubt the most delicious bread I've ever tasted and that recipe is lost. 😢

I was today years old when I discovered the meaning behind the name "Chicken & Pickle." I thought it was a sideways reference to Chic-Fil-A's ubiquitous pickle... I need to get out more, apparently.

Born and raised in Okc, and have been to a few of the restaurants listed. But I am absolutely amazed that CATTLEMENS was not listed at all let alone it should have been in the number 1 spot. I have never been there and not had a packed house, early, late Monday-Sunday.

mustang, newcastle, blanchard are small and only adv is proximity to Norman

Gallardia has replaced Nichols Hills for money

Nichols Hills is old old money terribly crowded and surrounded by ghetto

Yukon is decent

Bethany is ghetto

Goldsby is rural doesnt have much to offer except its proximity to Norman

Norman is better than Edmond but Norman doesnt have decent healthcare unlike Edmond but 25 min N is ou med ctr thankfully! and ou med ctr does have a Ou urgent care/ER at 104th sw at May not too far Norman has a proper downtown

Edmond is churchy conservative and crowded tons of traffic no real downtown

We have great aquatic center, skate park, arcade/blowing, kids parks dog parks indoor playground, and nextdoor in Moore there is a GREAT free splashpad/park. Move west of the highway to avoid the OU traffic.

That makes sense why I haven’t been smelling that dog food smell like usual. Still smell it occasionally when I’m cleaning some windows in Edmond though

There's no shortage of very good restaurants in and around OKC for sure. I've been to Deep Duece but haven't been to Grey Sweater. What an interesting name for a restaurant though. Be advised that cellphone reception in that area stinks for some reason but if you're dining you shouldn't be on your phone anyway.

My daughter took me to Nonesuch. That was an amazing experience for me.

I was born and raised in OKC and have lived here most of my sixty-one years. I've also driven Uber for the past five years. If an out of town passenger asks where to go for dinner, I tell them about Cattleman's Steakhouse. It's not fancy but it's honest and real. There is no slick veneer. There's a good chance your waiter or waitress has been wearing that signature tuxedo shirt and diamond knot tie for twenty or thirty years. During lunch, you might see cowboys with spurs on their boots coming over from the stockyards after dropping off their loads. The steaks are excellent, the prices are reasonable, the potato, salad, and roll are included, the people are friendly, and they have - without a doubt - the best damn coconut cream pie in the state. Cattleman's is the heart and soul of Oklahoma City.

A lot of the houses in this area are extremely old, and some are historic preservation. These houses' plumbing lines are over 50 years old, and they might look great on the outside but need plumbing and more insulation due to the fact that when they were built. Also, okc does not enforce the residential energy code when permitting. Buy smart foks.

It's a hole in the wall but Abels in Warr Acres is amazing, taste great, + is good on the wallet.

So many good places missing on this list! Kitchen 324, Stella, Halls Pizza, Bar Cicchetti, Paseo Grill, to name a few.

If you aren't from around here and you are a woman and live alone on a tight budget and you might have a reason to want time alone , Radius Apartments peeps WILL NOT LEAVE YOU ALONE! Some neighbors you might have will be well heard above you and you are likely to be treated like dirt ! I get harassed and threatened and no one cares and the management helps them do this! My utilities were shut off after the banging on my door when I used my bathtub and tales of leaking ...and NOW A FLOOD IN THE APARTMENT DOWNSTAIRS , AND OVER A 7 MONTH STRETCH OF TIME AFTER THEY CHANGED THEIR MIND ABOUT MOVING ME TO ANOTHER ONE OF THEIR APARTMENTS ?? I showed the management a video of a neighbor calling me out , yelling at me, calling me out of my species and she should have been evicted ! NOW, I AM BEING THREATENED WITH EVICTION IF I KEEP BEING RUDE TO MY NEIGHBORS ! I know that I told Megan, the local manager, that I can't NOT WASH, and soon after my electricity was shut off and they have no proof of anything and I don't just break things and the maintenance yells at me like I'm not a fellow human being ! Red tag the door or evict me , then, if you can't stand the sight of me !

Paseo District is such an overrated area of OKC. Your list absolutely blows, and completely misses all the good places. Not everyone has a manbun and a nose ring

Braums is only good for ice cream if you like paying out the ass for 3 pints...

I'm surprised neither of mentioned Mickey Mantle's or Michael on about 63rd and May Ave. I'm no one mentioned Cattlemen I hate that place.

I don’t know how you pased up Cattlemens, Ted’s Escondidas, Vann Barbeque Stand in Moore. I wouldn’t eat at those in the lists. I have lived in Okc 66 years. There are others. Don’t know what you are thinking unless they have to be high dollar.

Check out The Owle Shoppe in downtown Shawnee Oklahoma. Their food is absolutely delicious! They have vegan and vegetarian choices. Everything is so fresh. If you’re into lobster grilled cheese, they have it.
