Trivia time: After Dallas, San Antonio and Houston, what was the next Texas city to be served by Southwest?

Never in my life did I see so many ads in one video sorry couldn't watch it ruined it
@sla314 сағат бұрын
I literally only have 3 ads in this whole video. At the beginning when you first click on it, right in the middle of the cruise, and at the end of the video… 3, in a nearly two hour video… That’s way less than you find in most 20 minute clickbait videos… And those few ads are the only reason I can afford to make these at all. So can we not complain about 3 ad breaks? I have done everything in my power to limit ads as much as possible for 9 years running this channel.

You should do a flight on these sea planes to some of the smaller towns

I appreciate videos like these where the focus is on the scenery and background sounds, it's quite calming. When I'm home, I don't watch much TV but I like to either have background noise or music when I'm cleaning, working or studying and these videos are perfect when I'm in that mode.

I could just take an Amtrak Roomette Sleeper Train instead of a dusty 737 😂. Way more spacious, comfortable, better food and views!
@sla319 сағат бұрын
Yeah… Southwest offers like hourly service between all these cities without stopping, for half the price, and 20x faster. The 23 hour travel time with multiple stops alone makes that a pass for me 😂. And Amtrak wonders why no one rides them. Thanks for watching my friend!
@RoadsOfAsiaBen10 сағат бұрын
Great fly! Flew with all three flights? Laughs with Amtrak

I do not what this means or is getting at. 😂
@RoadsOfAsiaBen10 сағат бұрын
@@sla31 Like I can just go Amtrak direct route from Houston to Dallas and back skipping San Antonio.
@sla319 сағат бұрын
@@RoadsOfAsiaBenwell you can go between any of these cities without stops on Southwest too, but that wouldn’t be as cool of a video 😂. Plus, unless you’re seeing something I’m not… To go between Dallas and Houston on Amtrak costs more than the flight on Southwest, has two stops, and it’s an overnight train. That sounds like absolute misery to me 😂
@GarlandTexasSpotter20247 сағат бұрын
@@sla31Well I still prefer train over a plane anyday 😂
@sla316 сағат бұрын
I don’t mind trains. In fact I quite like a good train ride. But the once daily service, at twice the price, at a horrible time, taking nearly 24 hours, makes this not worth it in my eyes. At that point you’re just doing it because it’s a train. Which is fine; but it makes absolutely no sense for anybody who actually needs to travel between the two cities to do, unless there is some unusual circumstance, or something that requires someone to have more room. But for 99% of people it just makes way more sense to take the 45 minute flight.

I wish wide bodies could fly these short routes more often. I am aware fuel costs will be higher, and more flight attendants would need to be hired, but the higher amount of passengers should make up the costs of additional salaries and fuel costs. Even in Asia, narrow bodies are flying these 3 or 4 hour flights. Back in the day, widebodies were still popular for the route.

I kind of miss the Dash 8's, they were a trip! I do like the E175's they have replaced them with, a bit faster. I am ticked at Alaska, they cut the flights between PAE & GEG. That was a nice alternative to going to the west side.
@sla3113 сағат бұрын
Yeah, I miss the Q400 too. I get them wanting to has as few fleet types as possible, but man the Q400 was perfect for those short hops around the PNW.

Though I prefer Alaska Airlines (I’m very happy you’ve been posting them more often than usual) this was a nice landing indeed
@sla31Күн бұрын
Alaska Airlines is who I'm using now to qualify and keep my Oneworld Sapphire status up. So, that's why they've been featured more now over the last year or so. I used to use American to keep that status up, but when they changed to the points based earning system, it became easier to qualify on Alaska instead. So, a happy change then for you haha. Alaska still awards status based on how much you fly, not necessarily how much you spend. So, instead of earring "loyalty points" by spending tons of money on American, I get status simply for flying 40,000 miles on Alaska or other Oneworld carriers. And for someone like me, who flies a lot, but also tries to do it as economically as possible, Alaska makes more sense now.

What is the sound that we hear here 1:18:57 ?
@sla31Күн бұрын
I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it has something to do with the hydraulic system the the brakes. Some actuator or pump turning on or off when pressure is applied or released form the brakes.

Well… Do I have good news for you 😁! So, every individual landing that you see my channel, just comes from a full flight that I’ve already posted. In this case, you can watch the entire flight that this landing is from, including the taxi into the gate and shots at the airport here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/opqmqchk2Nu7loU.html If you ever see any takeoff, or landing posted by itself, the link to the full flight from start to finish is always the first thing listed in the description 😁.

I was watching the Godzilla movie marathon on KZfaq and now, I'm watching your video. They're showing and looping all of the Godzilla films from the 1950s to the 2000s and also the Gamera movies. They're showing The Invasion of Astro-Monster right now, where an alien species tries to colonize Earth and is controlling Ghidorah, Godzilla and Rodan. It's also the one where Nick Adams meets a beautiful woman and then she gets vaporized by the aliens for disobeying them. I've lost count as to how manty times these kaiju monsters have stomped on Tokyo. My favorite of those movies: Godzilla Final Wars (2005). That one has it all: monsters, aliens, superhuman mutant soldiers, martial arts fight scenes, space battles, and Kumi Mizuno. Anyhow, another fine video on your part, lots of good views and the sun is MUCH brighter down in PNX than up here in WA State in December. So... the next time you head for Japan, if you should encounter one of their kaijus, get out of the way!! And be prepared to pay a monster destruction tax.
