This guy is good. Lots of stuff that we do better (not here to promote so I won't say who we are). You've reached master level when you can pad, tilt, strap and lift a 1200lbs a 9'2" concert grand (player) by yourself. With the right tools and techniques you can save your back. Brought down a tall Upright with stairs and a turn today with just one other guy. Easy stuff when you use your head. Then at drop off went up a straight flight, 2 guys. $600. Job took 1hr. Legs were done once we reached the top but that's good. Back damage .. We'll that's is bad.

Horrible cringe worthy move! No protection of the piano's finish - should be a soft clean sheet between the piano and that dirty old moving blanket. Don't tilt the weight of the piano on a bottom corner - they make lifts that raise both sides at the same time, from the bottom. Don't move the piano without every square inch covered. One mistake after another! I weep for the piano owners of Austin if these guys are really your "preferred" movers.

That was a light piano. I DIY moved a player piano from the 1970's that was about that size I would swear it was around 500 lbs.

+Dan Rivera LOL, That is a steel piano dolly that can hold up to 2500 lbs.

+Tim McDermott Some people cannot visualize or comprehend. That is a brilliant dolly! Perfect size to spin, turn, or maneuver anywhere. I used to lay floor, and that would have been a real life saver. Swivel wheels would be a nightmare.

Hey brother, you guys are true professionals. My brother and I have moved pianos starting over 40 years ago in Richmond Va as preteens helping our Dad. We use all the same equipment you use except a few years ago we started using a dolly like you showed in special situations except our has big pneumatic wheels....we call it the "Yard dolley" because with those big tires we can roll grand or upright over any terrain.

Used Heart of Texas for 3 moves now. Love them. Always quick and professional, even moved our huge upright piano to the 3rd floor apartment and back down again. They used that board to haul it up the stairs, it was intense. Cost like $400 to move the piano, or $600 for everything, felt like a deal. Ppl complain about the cost, but that's the price you pay to own/move that kind of thing! Better than crushed limbs or destroyed property.
