Bill Paxton was in several Cameron films including The Terminator (one of the punk guys at the beginning of the movie who is killed), True Lies (Simon - fake CIA guy), and Titanic (Mr. Lovett, funny name, get it?). A very versatile actor who was taken from us way too early.

That remake trailer every time I think about it because I did watch it felt like a giant slap to the face of what the purpose of the original film was supposed to represent. I'm sick.

Gave the Gyllenhall Roadhouse a looksey and it wasn't bad but then I felt the need to rewatch the classic. Man, I miss Swayze on screen!! Swayze made this an iconic role! Sam Elliott was amazing in it too! There are a handful of Swayze movies you shouldn't mess with Dirty Dancing, Point Break and this one for sure. Ghost is a favorite too.

@DarkPascual2 ай бұрын
One thing that makes Brandon Lees portrait of Eric Draven so wonderful is the fact that he manages to mix and match the different aspects of the character and making it believable. Under the tragedy make up, the black leather coat, the anger, the menace, the sadness, the melancholy, you see the charming, sweet, caring guy Eric was in life. The violence that Eric unleashes has a greater impact because is the righteous fury of a good man. Skarsgard's Eric looks like a jerk barely in control of his emotions, ready to explode. His "roaring rampage of revenge" seems like the obvious reaction, so it lacks the impact of the original. And I don't think is a bad concept for a new character taking the Crow mantle and explore a different aspect of grief. But as a take on the Eric Draven's character, is just wrong.

The remake trailer spurred me to revisit this great movie. So thankful they finished it even with the slight stitches around what was incomplete. Still ahead of its time 30 years later. Until I watched it as a married adult the full impact never hit me.

What are some of your favorites you've collected so far? Mine is by far the original hardcover limited edition of the comic book. It came in a box set with a Trust Obey CD to be played while reading the book. One of my favorite things I own and I have a shit ton of old games, comics, DVDs, etc.

I have a box of unopened complete set of the crow trading cards. A near mint felt poster that I got specially framed to fit the theme. The Easton press leather bound release of the comic signed by o'barr. Of course, have to own all the crow Funko pops, including the glow in the dark version. I have the unopened board game. The one that kills me is I sold my 9.8 cgc graded issue of caliber presents #1 to pay for my ex wife's ring for $1,400 and now those damn things don't go for less than $8k.

It's odd they would do a remake, when it doesn't even apply any of the originals aesthetic. It just relies heavily on gore. The original wasn't even really that gory laden. It relied on a solid story.
@ReelIntellect2 ай бұрын
I agree we could have a good movie with a good story and a beautiful message without the gore.

All I can say is this movie is perfect, a masterpiece of filming and a great message through and though. This is one of the best comic book adaptations ever made. The film has an abundance of atmosphere along with loss, tragedy, despair, regret, love, beauty, revenge, friendship, humor and shows that nothing truly is trivial. I can't say enough of how great this movie is. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

It’s been over 20+ years and we’re still in the dark ages. There’s gonna be nothing wrong with the new movie nor it is a dishonour to the original. It’s a modern remake. Sour and bitter fandoms like this ruin potentially great movies.
