Kind of makes mass immigration totally redundant. Ai is already hitting Banking Warehousing Administration and Retail shopping. The countries that will be successful will be those with small highly educated populations and none of those are in Europe or the USA.

I think the most likely outcome is that humans will adapt, as they always do. And regarding the "loss of meaning" derived from not working, how do retired people, or rich people that do not need to work, still get meaning in their lives?... They generally don't seem particularly unhappy nor do they seek infinite pleasure all the time. If labor for a living becomes practically "abolished", I'm sure people will still get meaning (and status) from many other things.

Quite short sighted. Can't think outside capitalism, huh? The job you wouldn't do if you weren't paid for keeps you an SLAVE. People will find their meaning outside that scheme. Yeah, it's becoming smarter than us, maybe that will save humanity, maybe not. Maybe AI will be happy to help us improve, just naturally. Who knows?

All the recent layoffs in California I bet weren't just for cutting costs. Programmers, coders, designers, accountants, secreraries, writers and to some extent probably even lawyers and managers: if your job requires the use of your brain, you could be replaced. We're literally renouncing to our ability to think and create for profit, we're giving to ai the reins to our progress and culture, while we'll watch from the backseat readying our pickaxe for our first day at the lithium mine.

Ai is in a sense, creating n additional population in the form of a computer, while its useful it means having less jobs that people have less physical strength.

Immortality is terrifying. 700 is extremely small. There are corals live for tens of thousands of years. Imagine a human living to centuries, millennia, millions, BILLIONS. TRILLIONS. But for that person. It’s the worst fate imaginable.

my first and only fight wasn't anything like whats in the video, I didn't want to hurt the person, the kid i fought was huge and strong (he plays rugby) and fought pretty well but I wasn't scared or anything, i legit felt nothing. i didnt throw a single punch, i just kept my hands up to defend my face and so i lost the fight, and even tho the whole school watched me get beat up it didnt really bother me lmao, idk why. i still dont get how could he be so big, we were only 13 years old and he was already around 240lbs 6ft2, i could've been like 160lbs and 6ft. i remember looking at him and just thinking "how did he get so big? i wanna get big too". cus before the fight happened we were cool, we liked to arm wrestle and i was beating him but thats before he got big, then after couple of months i noticed he got bigger and stronger, that was so cool to see

What about the ending where humans go beyond ingesting media and start growing/evolving spiritually. Honestly, I don't think humans will ever stop being creative, they just won't need to do it for money anymore which is even better in my opinion. Here's hoping for the best!

I’m always dumbfounded when people don’t agree that there needs to be strict laws on banning AI as a profit generating human replacement. Make AI for healthcare and non profit and if Microsoft still wants to pump billions into it for the better of humanity then good. It’s great if you think it will be all fine, but why not hedge our bets and build a safer future. Forget climate change, this is the problem of our generation and so many people are completely in denial.

What if a dominant AI developed a sense of humor? Humans would be viewed like contestants on the show Wipe Out, providing amusement with their constant boasting followed by failure.
