I know I'm a few years late to this, but thank you for posting this! This is super helpful for me. My Wi-Fi speeds are very good, but since the PS3's aren't very good the speeds range anywhere from 2.5 MB/s to 600KB/s or lower. Now I got 5 PS2 games queued up that should be done in less than 30 minutes as opposed to days. Thanks!

It works great! I went from 2.3Mib on Wifi to 16.4Mib on Ethernet! (A little confusing to setup on linux but, I was able to get it sorted out). I'm also using a USB-C ethernet adapter so, I'm sure it would be better connected directly. Thanks for the guide!

I FIGURED IT OUT. the EBOOT.PBP file CAN be read. if u "copy/paste" the "SLUS/NPUI/NPUJ/NPEF" file that contains the EBOOT.PBP inside of it into the "game" folder on your PS3 (that contains the other "SLUS/NPUI/NPUJ/NPEF" files) and then install the separate "crack" pkg file on to the ps3 (or activate the rap file via "ReactPSN" or "Apollo") it'll work. I used it for Metal Gear Solid 1 and it worked PERFECTLY
