Love mixing watercolors, although i'm not a watercolor person 🤭 but from all brands I tried the Gansai Tambi are definitely my favorite! Those mixtures are really beautiful 😍

I did the same thing when I saw these sketchbooks at michaels...i also grabbed the special edition van gogh watercolor palette as well as the rembrandt soft pastels. 😍

I also love that you were drawing merchandise while your kids were trying on clothes. I think I also have a small square white royal talens art sketchbook (I'm a bit of a mixed media supply hoarder and sometimes I stash art supplies away like a squirrel and happily find them with surprise later). I might take walks with the small square one and draw stuff I see. It's a great idea to take the small one everywhere. It also helps to see what your travel set is, it's getting me thinking. Have tried this but when I heat the magnet part gets a little bubbly and doesnt seem as strong once heated? Any ideas?

out of curiosity how did it dry? and would you say its durable? basically in trying to by a banner but the printing compant want to charge me double the price just to have one side plain black and was thinking i could just spray it myself 😅

I use multiple sketchbooks too! I usually have a small one, a 9x12, and a square one. As for practical tips on how to be creative every day, I think the main one-- for me-- has been to be playful with my art. I've been using a lot of weird mixed media lately (wood bits, fabric, mirror pieces, collage paper) and it's fun! It doesn't turn out 'pretty' a lot of the time, but sometimes just giving myself permission to play and make 'ugly' art is the best thing I can do for my creative practice.
