goblin's work for the suspiria ost rOxx \m/ finding cOmparisons between their music and mine is really flattering and really reinforces for me tHat i must be a pretty dang competent musician, so tHank you owo7 i also really appreciate tHat "wonderful work" compliment :3 i'll be sure to put out mOre albums in the future w/ the standards set for this 1 or possibly even higher, considering my best friend juniper (his full music and internet alias is juniper gods, but i casually call him juniper) and i are moving in together in a cOuple of months and plan on increasing our musical productivity 20x fold. we got music duo projects plAnned and all kindsa stuff. 1st thing we plan on doing is having him contribute guitar on my album as a decent wayto get a little exposure, since i have a little cult following, and while he doesn't really have a whole lotta recordings, he's put out a few jams on soundcloud. he's a god-like guitarist too. d00d can play anything from krautrock/prog rock to any other kinda rock and metal genres you can think of, to american primitivism (like john fahey and jack rose, for example) and is not only classically trained and can play stuff like "la catedral" by augustin barriOs, which is 1 of the most notoriously difficult spanish classical guitar pieces ever written (o.o) he's also even studied directly under the thrash metal band's guitarist, don adams, who is a pretty dang legendary guitarist in underground circles, and don even said tHat juniper has better bend crontrol on the instrument than he does :D so, i'm excited to have juniper cOntribute to my new album. my other friend, who's musical alias is zero point fool, is gonna contribute drums, and he's got some gOod soundin' psych rock kinda drummin' tHat makes for good stuff to jam to. anyway, sorry for the long text ^^; just excited tHat once juniper and i move in together, we'll be able to start on music agAin after a 3 and half year musical drOught X< he even bOught a sitar and i learning tHat for some segments too :D

I did the same on a real arcade in a games shop. They said that a guy came out to fix it and he has put the dip switches on hardest. This was when you had to used coins, although the machine had light use and its Wicos were OK. Stage 4 boss Rios did sometimes put you on edge, I agree.

Super R-Type, as it was meant to be. The game, like the Gradius III SNES fix (twice, once to slow it back down some as it was too FAST), are a godsend from modern hackers, doing the lord's work. And like Gradius III, it is a whole lot meaner.

Finally got to sit down and watch this (after doing my own clear which I'll upload soon). Very nice. I'm particularly surprised by how you were to survive some of these bosses, the... rudimentary way you did. Most of the late game bosses have a lot of things you can do to make them easier to deal with. So to see you not know much about any of these, yet still manage to defeat them and win while enduring relentless mental torment, living through unbelievable clutches after unbelievable clutches... it's honestly absurd to me. You can be damn proud about it.
@BrainTemple2 жыл бұрын
yA , i had no idea about any of the stuff tHat makes the bosses easier. ._. i watChed most of your run (need to watch vision 5 and vision 6, but i watChed the boss fights of those visions + the fight with nahatomb), and i see wHat you are talking about. like, 'cause i didn't know yOu could immediately hit the left or right points on the triangle thingy ghadius makes (probably 'cause i wasn't observant 'cause it seems pretty obvious now lol), and i also didn't knOw about a lot of the glitches like the exploit you did in vision 2-1 at the start with the waterfall where you fell down the hole and landed at the top of the screen next to the dOor. so like, i was wOndering how your run was shorter than mine, but certain little things like tHat made it make sense. i also thought it was interesting how yOu could quicken joka's second form by runnin' on two of the platforms almost simultaneously. tHat didn't occur to me at all x.x i didn't really sit down and analyze the game from speed runs or playthroughs or w/e. i just went in and learned it all on my own. i generally just do tHat aside from particular runs like mega man 3 no damage due to very specific things you need to do (and the first two mega man games will require tHat as well), but otherwise, i just blast through these fuCkers with only things i've figured out on my own. as a result, there might be some odd or less practical strats than ones already discovered. anyway, i'm glad yOu liked my run and found it intense to watCh. i gUess i have good reflexes due to all the shmups 'n stuff i play ^^; your run kicks sOme ass too :3
@balneor2 жыл бұрын
@@BrainTemple It's perfectly understandable. Again, you did a godly job all things considered. I guess there was stuff like that you didn't do. But these are a bit out of reach for anyone who isn't a speedrunner as you say yourself, so I can't expect random people to just use them like that. I was more referring to like, not knowing you can shoot Ghadius's magic projectiles in the first phase, playing unnecessarily risky with Joka's eclipse phases, and some wiser movement with Nahatomb's first phase. Not much more than that, since you were mostly good with the rest of the game. But I couldn't believe you did the things you did like that. Can you provide a timestamp for the 2-1 thing ? I'm not sure what you mean
@BrainTemple2 жыл бұрын
taHnk for the nice compliments, dude. ^^ also, oops, i didn't mEan 2-1. i mEant 2-2. my bAd ^^;; i beat joka tHat way with a fuckton of practice though too, but i was able to to get it dOwn for the most part, and ghadius was pretty easy, and his first phase felt like a bit like a contra attack to some degree, so i was able to deal with it tHat way without any trouble. i think the thing is tHat you develop a lot of insane skill from run 'n gunners, and especially shmups, where the skills you acquire from them allows you to carry them over to other games and have an ability to process a strong awareness for the amount of information on screen or w/e. sO uH...tl;dr if yOu play run 'n gunners ans shmups, you develop absurd reflexes for other gAmes
