My personal opinion and big hope for JSU (and the SWAC in general) is that the school goes ahead and reach out to Urban Edge Network for an additional media deal. The recent ruling from Florida State vs the ACC clearly shows that it's possible. I believe that HBCU sports has a niche market that isn't being optimized. ESPN and HBCU GO aren't maximizing the media reach of HBCU fans. Why not add HBCU+ for additional funding? I believe that HBCU+ can show those soccer, volleyball, softball, and baseball games. I know that JSU fans would watch them. They could also show the WBB and MBB games that ESPN baulked at showing.

All SWAC teams need to start playing each other on " Week Zero " to get the season over quicker and that will free up time at the end of the season .

Thats not allowed by the NCAA. ONLY ONE TEAM PER CONFERENCE can play week zero and you need to submit a request to the NCAA and there has to be a REASON for it or TV money behind it.

Maybe there can be a collab with the other SWAC schools to piece together film of their JSU games that they have archived. It's a tedious task, but could be a way of recapturing some of those lost moments.

Sir Retro talking about being diehard JSU but never going to JSU gave me chills because I’m the exact same way. I’m from Pike County but at our church every Saturday growing up. We had church van that took who ever wanted to go every JSU home game, Alcorn (away), and Southern (away). Me and PawPaw grew very tight going to those games. JSU is Mississippi’s pro team‼️

The Houston Comets is the greatest dynasty that the WNBA has ever seen, and my wife and I watched every second of every championship they won. I still remember when the announcer said after their third championship, “The Houston Comets are STILL the ONLY champion the WNBA has known!!!” That team was so stacked that my wife and I didn’t want Swoopes as a rookie because we didn’t want Cooper to have to share the ball. Mane, we were glad that the Comets organization didn’t think like us! 🤣😂😅

Ken, I missed last night’s stream and am just watching. Because I wasn’t a scorer, I loved that defensive basketball drill that you mentioned, especially in elementary as it made me an excellent on-ball and off-ball defender by the time I got to high school who had great anticipation despite being the slowest player on the team. As such, I am like you in that I don’t understand nor tolerate players who can’t or won’t play defense. I know it sounds crazy, but you brought back great memories for me by mentioning that drill. I still use the principles from that drill today. Know where you are supposed to be, be where you are supposed to be, and don’t make any excuses for not being there. If more people lived by those principles, more would get completed.

Who needs to be real? You can't police players who play the same sport. They don't have to like her. Neither do they have to like Reese. My comments were about the commentators. It's sports. Hate comes with being top dawg. I don't feel sorry for her nor any other player.
