Great video! So helpful! Does this AC have a drip pan for the water or how does the water drain from the unit? I just purchased this exact AC last night and it's now making water sounds when it turns on.

So I got one of these units about two months ago. Cleaned the filter for the first time today-not very dirty. However once I put the filter back in the AC seemed to stop working?? Not sure how I managed that one… it’s no longer making cold air. 😢 I’ve never had an issue with window units and don’t know if it’s just a bad brand if unit or if I somehow knocked something putting the filter back in??

The only thing I can think of is you knocked the black small thermometer clip thing down that is clipped to the back of the front filter grate, it was a black thing attached to a black wire that is clipped to that ac grate the filter breathes through.

I just bought this mower for $40 at a pawn shop. It has been amazing so far (about 8 cuts). All I had to do was add some carb cleaner to the tank because it ran a little rough.

I just bought mines today & I kept it at the lowest temperature making the room so cold at first the sound was going in and out high and low then it suddenly stopped blowing air. Do you ever have problems with yours now if so what do you do to fix it ?

I would recommend NOT drilling into the plastic of the window. It's not very strong and it's part of the window. If you hot the glass or weaken the window by drilling into it, you are going to have bigger issues.

We JUST installed our MAW05M model window unit last night and waited til this afternoon to turn it on....Its the model that has dials not digital and i am not used to a/c's at all so idk what im really doing....but I have looked EVERYWHERE for answers for some questions I have.....do i need to turn it off at any time to let the motor rest??? Is it ok to have it running even at night??? My window unit isn't digital so does that mean there is no thermostat??? I have all these questions and can't find anyone or any forum that can answer them...

It is meant to run constantly you never need to turn it off all air conditioners need to run constantly throughout the day to provide cooling and the dial 1-7 is the thermostat 7 is the coldest 1 is warmest so u have to play aorund with it and put it around 5-7 to see which setting feels the most comfortable to you that is around the 70s to high 60s

I have a question 🙋🏿 ab how to get my damn filter back in! I got just ab the same model and I took it out and went to put the mf filter back in and it goes like 3/4 of the way in and it gets stuck with what looks like a wire with a lil black plastic part that’s stopping the stupid ass thing from going all the way in. Is there ANYTHING you can tell me that will help? I appreciate your vid and it was entertaining lol.

We’re you ever able to take it out because it not you probably have to take off the front cover just to either loosen the filter to take it out or clean it.

If "Having Trouble Putting the Filter Back In," Make Sure the "Tab/Notch" is Facing the Right Direction and Wiggle It a Bit. If Still Having Issues, remove the 2 Side Screws and Gently Pull Out the Bottom, and Gently Wiggle It Back In!! Then put the Screws Back In!!😉👍👍

FYI, You can just Flip the Filter Upside Down After You've Removed It, and Just Water from the sink Will "Clean It!!" I live in the Desert and Mine was Waaayyy More Dirty than Yours. Anyway, just "My 2 Cents...." Just "Flip It, Dirty Side Down," and Water from your Faucet will Clean It Well Enough!! 😉👍 No Need for a "Toothbrush!!" 👍

Thanks! Didn't know what the numbers were for, mine was still at 1. Came here because I could not get the roller bar out. After confirming how it was supposed to come out, I stuck my finger through the other hole and 'pushed' it out. Got mine in 1985 and never needed to replace the belt until now. Still had the "extra" replacement that it came with. It lasted 5 minutes. I guess the rubber degraded over 39 years 😁. Had another package of two, probably 20+ years old. They broke too. Gonna try some fresh ones from Amazon. I used a screw driver like you but had a heck of a time getting the belt to stretch enough to hook it on. I could take the original off and on by hand. Hopefully the fresh ones will be a little more flexible.

Off eBay. Amazon might sell them too. If needed I can provide the part number, however if you search up the make and model of the air conditioner you should be able to find results for it. they are around 50 bucks.

Go to 7 mins and 17 mins in for all that information separate intervals cover that but long story short it depends if you want to or it does not fit snug in the window or feels weak and you don’t want it accidentally falling out or dumb people opening the window and it falling out or a kid, has gaps that the side panels won’t stay solid and keep falling in

Thanks for the video. My windows is only 17 inches wide, and technically I know the company says it has to be 23 inches wide to install this unit. However, the dimensions of this unit is 16 inches, so if I don't add the side panels, it will fit. Is there any reason why this can't work? Also, my window is a horizontal sliding window. What would be the best way to secure this unit in my window? Thanks for your help.

When they say minimum 23 inches that means with both side panels installed and collapsed completely towards the unit and even having only one would be too wide for your window. You must install it with no side panels and find a way to fill in the remaining inch gap whether it piece a piece of wood, insulation or what ever you can improvise with.

Yeah it is. Every pressure wash I ever used made that same exact surge and once I engaged the wand it went away and for the mower it goes away instantly when I engage the blades.

@@topfin8441 my Honda with blade clutch does not surge at all. It idles smoothly. I have a troybilt with a Honda engine that was surging but it ran ok under load of cutting grass. I cleaned the idle circuit on the carb and now it runs perfect. as for the pressure washer they do seem to sound different not under load but they are different beast. They are connected to a pump. If my pressure washer sounded like this engine I would be looking for a problem.

Hmmm I don’t get though why would it run perfectly with the blades engaged but surge when it not under a stronger load? I feel like it would be surging both with the blades engaged and not.

I cut my yard with it before selling it with the blades engaged and it never surged on me and it worked great and had full power

@@topfin8441 it makes sense if the low speed idle jet was dirty. Mine did the same thing. Once in the yard cutting it had no problems but when you took the load off it surged. I cleaned that idle jet out and it now idles smoothly. I used it for a couple of months surging like that until I got sick of it and cleaned the carb.
