Tell the negative commenters to do one. Its your bike and you can do what you want to do with it. You're testing it to the limit which is what most reviewers should do. If it can handle this it can handle anything.

My fat tyred e bike here in the uk is a 250 watt 48 volt 24amp hrs. The government is looking to up the wattage to maximum 500 watt and a top speed of 20mp.They are looking to do that because everyone who owns an e bike complains that 250 watt is not big enough and a max speed of 15.5 mph is far too slow. I don't know whether it will come into force or not, but I am happy with just the 15.5mph being an older lady. I don't want to go fast. Life goes too fast as it is without whizzing by life on an e bike.
@lizvickers715613 сағат бұрын
It also has a range of 100 miles on one charge. Thats pedal assist 1 and obviously that's peddling no throttle as they are illegal here in the uk. I have managed 90 miles with one bar remaining.

segway g2 max or leopard? Price is identical
@tomsgadgetgarage22 сағат бұрын
If weight/portability isn’t a major concern, I’d go with the Leopard. The suspension gives you more options in terms of where you ride. It also gives you the option to use a seat, which is actually surprisingly fun.

Hey Tom, Great review. I was deciding on this bike vs a tenways and I think you convinced me this was the way to go, especially at that price point. One question, on riding position, this appears to have a more natural riding position and not hunched over the bike, is that accurate? My solera2 aventon that I had really had me in that uncomfortable position and once I went over 12 miles my elbow starting hurting. Well. my solera 2 just got stolen from my garage so I am in a market for a new ride, and this appears to fit the bill. Thanks for your help, every infomative.
@tomsgadgetgarage22 сағат бұрын
Thank you! So it definitely has a more natural riding position than your typical road bike. This is technically a step through model so it is easier to get on and off. I personally didn’t have any issue with the riding position. You will definitely lean forward, but nowhere near as much as a regular road bike. Sorry to hear about your bike, people are crazy.

You should be fine at 240. It has a capacity of 265, so lots of buffer. You’ll likely get a bit less range and acceleration, but nothing drastically different. Plus they are now releasing their latest firmware which increases power output.

While i like Lectric company . I even own a Lectric 3.0 im holding off on any more from Lectric until they finally upgrade the battery pack . That’s all that’s left . I don’t care how fancy a bike shifts gears if the battery pack is really small . That trip you just made would have been impossible if the whole time in pedal assist 5 . For me at weighing a bit more i would not have even made it half way . The battery pack is major cheap with 18650 Chinese cells (but they do work well). Upgrade to 21700 cells . Samsung 50e cells and I’m back on board . If you look at the e-bike market right now at the $1500-$2300 price range 48v10ah is the smallest of any and all e-bikes in the $2000 range . While a little heavier but very portable unless things change with Lectric battery packs , im looking at the Juiced bikes Jet current pro for $2300 . Cadence and torque sensor . A lot more power and much larger battery capacity . All in all Lectric is a great company and top notch service . I have experienced Lectric service with a friend of mine and my own Lectric ebike personally and the service was A+

If you have the start speed set to zero it wont go anywhere if you accidentally hit the throttle because it requires you to press the brake each time you come to a stop to reengage the throttle.

This is another great scooter that not only has great performance but is very affordable. I feel most new riders or riders with a commuter wanting to upgrade would feel very comfortable with the price of this scooter, even the Gallop you reviewed is an even better performance option.

So it’s water proof in light rain?
@tomsgadgetgarage4 күн бұрын
So it’s IP54 rated meaning it can withstand splashes from all directions. I’ve ridden both the Gallop and the Leopard in light rain conditions unintentionally. Now with that being said, most scooter companies don’t cover water damage, so there’s that.

3 questions: Does the cadence sensor allow for a natural feeling ride? Does the frame size feel small? Can you get a workout and go fast without ghost pedaling?
@tomsgadgetgarage4 күн бұрын
I would say it’s more natural feeling than my other Lectric bike, the XP 3.0. Power delivery is very smooth. My preference is PAS 2 cruising around at around 15mph. At that level and speed, I feel like I’m putting in some effort while still being very relaxed, as in I could ride for hours. For me, that’s the most natural feel. When I get into PAS 3 and go up to 20 mph, I do get some ghost pedaling at around 19-20mph. It could be because I prefer a slower cadence. The frame feels great, thanks to the adjustable handlebars and seat. Doesn’t feel small when riding it.

I chose the smith mainline mostly for the ventilation to keep my head cool but also mips safety lining. My e-bike is a 28/30 mph fat bike. At first I thought I’d look silly but with a the full face helmet and goggles, nobody can see my face ! Ha I can be incognito and safe all at once! I also got a mesh biker jacket that doesn’t look like a biker jacket. Casual but still level 2 protection. I’m not going to deal with van drivers and trucks without protection. Great video.

@tomsgadgetgarage6 күн бұрын
So I’ll be doing a full range test as well as endurance hill climb test over the next couple weeks. Lectric lists a theoretical range of 60 miles on PAS 1/2 and throttle only range of 20 miles. I’ll be testing those figures out of course.

@@tomsgadgetgarage Aniioki has the awesome giant 52V 60 AH battery, but it is still on a chain drive and no internal gear hub. Been riding mine a little over a week now. I really like the bike, but there are some things I would change.. Wish it had front suspension, wish the throttle ignored the PAS setting and provided full power all the time (Throttle on PAS-1 is useless). So far, I'm not a fan of the automatic shifting, but I may need to play with the settings more to figure out my preferences. Also at 20mph you have to petal pretty fast, I'd swap out the lowest gear for a higher high gear. Don't want to sound negative though, the bike is great!
