I'm not entirely sure yet but it uses MK 6 components which may be millions of times stronger than vanilla components. These are used for the h2/02 gens, thrusters, and fuel tanks. So bassically the normal ship except it can hold magnitudes more fuel and yeild magnitudes more thrust which means it's much more effecient and may even be able to last longer than normal ships for refueling

@@Web_core1197 it may be possible one day, I may create a 50km wide ship because I found out a way to expand the sync distance which is the biggest problem when it comes to constructs of this scale.

This thing will use multiple gatling style thermonuclear missile turrets, basicallyit shoots thermounuclear weapons at planets but faster and faster until your spitting out one every .25 seconds. with SE planets it looks like the entire planet is being engulfed, but real life sized planets it's barely visible from space. So if we were going to make the capabilities as realistic as possible it's going to have a couple of these turrets but it would still take a long time to nuke the entire planet. Unless with an escort fleet as each tiny ship also fires a thermonuclear missile.

@@patroller1592 That would be cool if we would but my stuff is a little more obscure so I don't think he will. If he does that would be great though. Spawning it takes a little while, usually I expect anywhere from 10-30 minutes to spawn the ship and render it. to load it in a world it usually only takes about 10 max. After it's spawned in you can mess around with it any time you want though so I'd say the wait is worth it.

@@ribera1994e you can actually make a 10km ship in a completely vanilla game, I just don't know how you would move it. With normal blocks it's a huge hassle having to actually build it but for something of this scale you have to build it piece by piece using multiple subgrids (using connectors). If you don't then the game will instantly crash and you will just phase through the ship as it passes the physical shape limit. With optimized blocks like 10x10x1 blocks it's very easy and it can even run and battle just like a normal ship. Even then upwards of 20km It becomes extremely difficult to optimize.

I've built 3 super-juggernauts (each 10km) and each one took about 10-12 hours to fully complete the hull. with this ship the hull was done in about 3-6

I thought the builds of this size tank your framerate to the point of unplayable! *And it's flies!!!* + It's so big, it doesn't even render fully! *I AM VERY INTERESTED IN HOW THIS IS POSSIBLE.* And how the rings work... . . . thanks, This ship does lag when you fly it, but it's massively reduced when you turn shadows off. in this video it's seen as a station for the sake of performance. First you need to divide the ship into subgrids, thats what I did and got a vanilla size of 10km. for something more like this, you need modded blocks that are much bigger than normal to reduce the PCU count by millions. Without it, this ship wouldn't load as when they are not optimized correctly they instantly crash the game when you load them.

I have scoured the workshop for a very long time and still never found one but if you can I'll be happy to make a server.

Full-scale invasion drop ship lol cool... Interior needs work but exterior is great. Definitely is a problem in real life for atmospheres but will work fine in space.

Had something similar to this scale in the past but my pc could not handle it at the time. Even a empty world would lag my computer so hard that i had to stop working on it. Awesome looking ship, very different from my 40k halo mixup abomninations.

I run this by using a number of different methods. The PC usually isn't the problem as it can run on most devices I believe. Possibly even a laptop or tablet if powerful enough.

be sure to divide it into subgrids, if it is not divided, then you will either reach the physical shapes limit or the game will crash as soon as you load it in.

that's been happening to me as well, but for me I noticed it only happens when in atmosphere or as a station. It doesn't work all the time under these conditions but I guess I got lucky or something.

That's a really nice ship, especially for one of that size. Can I suggest that you put a laser beam turret on that ship using the "2cm Beam System Industrial Fix" mod?, Seeing a laser beam come out that ship would be cool

Good luck going through asteroids with that. I found it difficult to navigate asteroids with a 1.6km long ship let alone that thing. Also. How did you manage to make this without the world crashing your world save file size must be huge!

it's going to have preety high jump range so asteroids shouldn't be much of a problem unless they are near the planet we are jumping to. I managed to make this by splitting the ship into multiple subgrids, this prevents the game from crashing (although it did over 30 times during the building process) because this is really pushing the limit compared to anything 20km and under.

this thing uses 10x10 panels and is made up of multiple subgrids, if you use subgrids then you can modify the limit to as much as you want, but the bigger the build, the more it takes. This is bassically my limit it takes over 20 subgrids. With smaller ships that is dramatically decreased though.

@@djbandicoot4798 the 10x10 panels drop the performance down hundreds of thousands of times and makes this possible. The only thing the subgrids do is expand the physical shape limit and prevent the ship from crashing once you load it in. because of the rings though, it does have a heavier performance impact (the rings take up about as much PCU as the body itself). although this ship is completely flyable but due to the size it still lags. It doesn't lag nearly as much with say a ship within 10-20km but with a 30 it quickly gets out of hand.
