I use CDex to win9x and it became unuseble with Windows XP and never used CDex since , I assume it was version 1.3 or -the problem were the windows had a differnt way of reading cd in winXP (win nt )

Thank you for the demo. I use the splitter to make an incredibly complicated system work that allows me to use a VR headset to display all of my content from my Denon receiver. Why a VR headset? It allows for a huge (200"+) virtual screen with an incredibly immersive blacked-out VR room to watch content or play video games in with no latency.

Not every TBC will defeat Macrovision, only full-frame TBCs. My JVC HR-S7800U SVHS has a 2mb Line-based TBC, that only straightens up each line of resolution so you don't have wavy edges. It doesn't do anything to Macrovision. I used to have a GoVideo dual-deck dubbing unit that had a 4mb full-frame TBC... it not only straightened the lines of resolution, but it also fixed any vertical frame jumps by recreating the entire frame. It also defeated Macrovision. Newer gen models of the JVC SVideo machines had 4mb TBCs as well... not sure if they were full-frame or not, but being a 4mb frame buffer, my guess is yes. I wish I kept the GoVideo deck... I'm currently digitizing my copy of the entire 65 hours of Woodstock 99, and I have 2 tapes with top edge tearing that the JVC can't fix, as well as a few jumps here and there on other tapes. Picked up a Panasonic DMR-ES16 dvd recorder (Canadian version of the DMR-ES15) to use as passthrough to fix the top edge tearing, but it's a tradeoff on quality. It drops frames internally. I just ordered a WJ-AVE5 off ebay as it has the digital frame sync to at least output a clean signal to my capture card. If it's anything like the MX50 and also defeats Macrovision, then hopefully it'll fix the tearing, as well as the jumpy frames. I have to wait 2 weeks for delivery to test it out though. Blah. 😋

My wife inherited about 50 standard 8 mm films from her grandparents and I used this unit to digitize them. The videos had not been stored very well and were from maybe the early days of 8 mm (for home use) to the early 1960s. They were in somewhat rough shape. I had to deal with film breaks,splice breaks frequently and occasional sprocket hole damage. Every time I had to stop a recording pass to fix one of those problems the machine starts a new file even though it’s the same film. I used video editing software to splice together the electronic pieces, but it would have been nice if the FS81 had an option to continue the same recording. Also keep in mind that all the recording settings must be done at the beginning before you start recording. If there are changes in the film that might be helped by adjusting the exposure for example your only option is to stop the film, change the setting, then start recording to a new file (then video editing to combine the pieces later). Don’t get me wrong. The machine did a pretty good job of preserving some precious family history. The quirks I mention are just things you have to deal with when dealing with very old film Potentially adding a good bit of time to completing the overall job.

Hello, I want to play my Super Nintendo games in higher resolution. I have an Onkyo TX-RZ820 receiver. Does it upscale the video RCA connector input when output via the HDMI out? If yes, what resolution does it output, 720p or 1080p? I'm wondering if it is worth it for me to get one of those upscalers/adapters that converts RCA connectors into 720p / 1080p via HDMI. Or if my receiver already does that. Thanks

Just pIcked up the Pyle 999, and after connecting it, the audio that came through was extremely distorted. Thinking about returning it, but wanted to put a comment out before hand. Any reason why this may have happened? Inputs are all correct, and have connected the RCA cables to the phono lines.

Whats sucks about newer models is although they got cool features that older models don't have, it doesn't give you the option to shut off the shock protection because while it does continue to play even though you take a jog, hit a bump or even tap it, it doesn’t really give you the best cd quality sound since it is stored in a compressed audio. That's why I prefer older models that play directly from a CD. But if you want to listen to it wherever you go, this is the one.

I found one of these sealed in a box in a dumpster years ago EDIT: I got it to work on the latest version of Windows 11, I just had to unplug and replug it a few times and I had copied the software installation files to the desktop and it eventually appeared under device manager under cameras as USB video device and seems to work fine

i bought the same drone. It does not like wind so write your address or phone number on it with a sharpie. It can be hard to find. That said, it is my fist drone and i am doing about the same as you with it, however, my nephew is 14 and he was flying it all around the yard with remarkable accuracy - he can keep it in the yard and go around objects etc - so it has a lot to do with your skill level. It flies for about 7 minutes. i ordered a 1200Mah battery for it to get about 15 minutes of fly time. It is a very good drone to learn on. i am having fun with it. For $30-40 i would say it was a GREAT purchase. I have crashed it about 10 times and it lost the propeller covers, it still flies just fine though so it is remarkably durable.

hello, i have the scl902. anytime i put a tape in to watch it back, the compartment doesn’t go fully down and it ejects the tape. when it’s empty it goes down just fine. on the screen it shows “eject” and “c emg”. any idea how to fix it?

I saw a video showing to NOT zoom with the Wolverine and do the crop later in post editing. This makes a huge difference. The video with the digital zoom of the converter is riddled with compression artifacts. The video with no zoom is virtually artifact free.

I would love to get a test record that is entirely analog-sourced. I am an analog enthusiast, so I would want a test record that is going to emphasize the qualities of analog sound. Thus, I love seeing a vintage test record. However, I imagine it won't be very useful if it's worn out.

My small 230W Dell PS doesn't have an off and on switch so when I plug in any cable the tester never comes on so how do I force the PS on to test it?
