There's a side quest in Penacony that mentions the Knights of Beauty. An NPC claiming to be Lesley Dean an actor who died in a ship reck. According to official records there were no survivors. But he claims that a Knight of Beauty saved him and he's been liing low while recovering from his injuries. I met Argenti before i did this quest, and i was really confused when i couldn't contact Argenti to confirm this man's identity.

His kindness and desire to spread knowledge is exactly why he would never be accepted into the genius society. He doesn't have the same selfish desire as all the members do in order to be glanced at. This is simply because of how the aeons work, they're attracted to those who are strongly resonating with their path, and if anything, that simple fact reinforces his humanity.

@@Sinon0017 that’s an excellent way to put it. His want to spread knowledge wasn’t as in line with Nous’ principles as the members of the GS so Ratio wasn’t selected to become a member. I definitely plan to touch on that more when I cover the Genius Society members later down the road

You hit pretty much why he's a great character on the head. Part of the reason I fell in love with him as a character and with Star Rail as a whole. Though I really did like also reading about Simulated Universe and Aeons.

Thank you so much for talking about Ratio, he’s my fave in hsr and I don’t think people appreciate him as much as he deserves. I would also like to add that in the final act of the penacony quest, Ratio talks even more about Aventurine and their relationship. It really shows that as much as he put up an indifferent front, he does value Aventurine a lot

just a general note going into this I was not into the presentation of the video at the start than I heard the Guilty Gear music singlehandedly made me give you a fair shot lol, good video, Ratio as a character I feel gets a lot of misrepresentation and has very smart writers that made him genuinely philosophical and complex in a way no one was expecting and (most people) don't even really get yet.

he’s that type of character where you can really tell his kindness isn’t superficial he’s not just nice for niceties. or polite because that’s what’s expected of him. he cares so deeply for the world he exists in, and the people around him i genuinely think out of all of the star rail cast, he’s the who’s done and continues to do the most for humanity as a whole he’s just so human, in a way that I can’t help but admire

i saw a comment somewhere that talked about the contrast between Dr. Ratio and Ruan Mei, one appears self-centered and arrogant but actually cares much about spreading knowledge to others. The other appears soft-spoken and understanding but is actually self-centered and obsessed with control.

YESS!!! this video is so good!! ratio is like my second favorite character and one that i relate to. but the community always mischaracterize him as an alpha male narcissist that flaunts his intelligence every chance he gets (to put it simply) thanks to their amazing comprehension skills… even though he’s literally the opposite. it truly pisses me off (¬_¬) im also like, really deprived and desperate for more ratio content. its pretty obvious (to me. idk if im just delusional or not) that hoyo is hiding some info about ratio to reveal later on. he is so interesting and i do hope he returns on the next trailblaze missions. thanks for the vid! truly a video for me to eat food to. :]

As someone who is interested in Dr Ratio's lore and backstory, it's a shame that not much is known about his life from young. However, from his character story 1... It's implied that his parents might have died before he was born or he had a bad relationship with them. As the first character story of Dr Ratio was written under the perspective of a writer/journalist wanting to know about the good doctor's past, the first person they went to wasn't Dr Ratio's parents but his professor. Who was described by the journalist/writer to "have had a significant influence on Dr Ratio's upbringing" or something along the lines. Thus, I have reason to believe that Dr Ratio might have been an orphan or had a bad relationship with his parents. The former is more likely, as his voicelines and character story never mentions anything about his parents but how Dr Ratio rose up to become one of the more important members in the Intelligensia Guild.

Himeko and Kafka could be seen as polar opposites in personality. While Welt and Silver can be seen as wise old man and young genius. With Caelus/Stelle being the neutral person that's part of both sides.

@@tozu777 I could see Welt and Silver Wolf. I don’t want to say anything on Kafka right now as while she could be a parallel to Himeko, her companion quest was strongly implying she may be a parallel to the trailblazer. But who knows, maybe Kafka is a foil to both

@@shiromatsunoki the other reason for Himeko and Kafka being parallels is that they both serve as voices for their respective groups, like the team's diplomat. They talk to important people and lay down or negotiate the terms of engagement. They do oppose each other in a few aspects but that'll be nitpicking their characters. Thinking about it more, Caelus/Stelle might better parallel Elio. They're always in the spotlight but aren't well known. On the other hand Elio is known as the leader of the Stellaron Hunters but is never seen. Caelus and Stelle may have been a member of the Stellaron Hunters but kept behind the scenes and prepped for taking in a Stellaron. We can't deny a possibility that the other gender option is being set aside as a contingency plan and obtaining the gaze of the Aeons in another part of the universe. Or at least the gazes of Aeons we won't get as the player character. That way, in the climax the Stellaron Hunters join in with the other player option as reinforcements. We get both Caelus and Stelle fighting side by side with various factions we've recruited along the way.

I remember this show. It was generic but had a cute charm that I invested in. Sena was my favorite, and I'm sad season 3 didn't get dubbed. I would have liked to have seen how the show ended.

I love this anime, it’s too bad it didn’t get any more seasons. It is definitely a mood with its own weird logic. In some ways it reminds me of Tower of God, just because the world building is so off the charts. You wonder how exactly the people adapt to the absurdity and the story allows you to get a glimpse of that, of how their lives are interconnected between the chaotic landscape and to each other.

Awesome video! Very few people take Argenti’s character seriously and I really hope he gets a more serious role in the future (With Melustanin’s arrival perhaps?) because he is genuinely very interesting. The “Checking out” quest gives me some hope that *maybe* we’ll see more of him in the future, along with Boothill, because if you think about it both of their stories bare a lot of similarities, in particular the “chasing after something/someone that gives their life purpose” part. Once again, great video!

Underrated video, your content is of great quality. Quick tip for the thumbnail, your font colour looks dull and hard to read. You can create a font that is unique to you but also eye catching. You just need one viral video to introduce more people of your great content and you would have a following.
