ej20x arent really terrible the JDM spec B and SGT come with those engines... it inherently been designed to be used with the twin scroll turbos. the non STI vf45/44 etc.... they are greatly responsive too if the AVCS is working correctly too. informative video as always

the avcs problem is 08up ecu uses less current to drive avcs control valves the older pre 08 ecus use more current so the avcs control valves need to be smaller solonoid vs the fat ones the 20x has also ex cam avcs is set retarted at rest so theres a lot of power lost not useing ex avcs or by locking timing on them

What battery charger do you use when flashing?
@WT4T21 күн бұрын
Typically, on Subarus, they are not required as long as the battery is healthy, but I have a 10amp charger from Mac Tools (probably available elsewhere too) that I use on cars that have longer flash times.

This car has been tested by multiple independent and major media content creators including Car and Driver, Motorweek, Motortrend, et al. They all recorded about a six second 0-60 mph and 14 plus in the 1/4 mile at sea level. A nearly 4000 lb car will absolutely NOT accelerate to 60 mph in six seconds with “just” 260 hp, even with AWD and 280 torque, unless that figure is measured at the wheels after drivetrain losses which I suspect Subaru did just like VW is notorious for doing. It just defies the laws of physics lol.. With that being cited, there’s something “off” about your measurements, especially considering other chassis dynamometers have recorded WHP and WTQ figures well above your 222..
@WT4T21 күн бұрын
Dunno man, just my results. "Independant" media is often quite biased. I'm just testing this car like all the other thousands I tune.

Can’t wait for this thing to be complete! Unrelated question, what would you suggest doing for fuel set up? Going for 900ish Hp I had a fuel pump failure on my radium dual pump hanger with walbros 525 and it took out my motor.
@WT4T10 күн бұрын
Well, with dual pumps and no injector differential pressure safety you'll always run that risk. So any single pump that can flow enough is preferred. Weldon, Veyron, lots of brushless options

I recently bought the stage 2 package for my 2024 WRX TR. It runs well (nice job on the package) I'm running the 92 oct tune, but recently i started getting a check engine light due to the rear 02 sensor. Anyway to tune this out or some other method to prevent reoccurrence. Supper annoying on the 2024 because the check engine light disables Eyesight as long as its active.

Is this also a problem in the 2011 xlt 2.5t forester?
@WT4TАй бұрын
Oddly enough, it's a problem in all subaru EJ turbos to some degree. Certain things and setups from the factory made it worse than others. Assuming that forester is a plastic manifold, it's probably not gonna be terrible, but there definitely could be some calibration things and mechanical setups that would cause it
@AltprophetАй бұрын
Take the gas cap off, pull the fuel pump relay and start the engine, this will eliminate fuel pressure in the rails.
@WT4TАй бұрын
These cars don't have a fuel pump relay. There is a way to do this but it's easier just to spit a little gas

I would say this would be a good ideas swap if you were using while saving money to purchase a Type RA short block. No these motors are not ideal if you want it to be permanent and are looking to make serious power out of them. You also have to take into fact that the 20xs are open deck motors ….. That being said I would push these motors past 300hp. My 255 is not blown up but I’m having low compression issues. But $5,000 for the Type RA short block plus parts such as gaskets, timing belt kit, etc is just not in my budget right now. So I will do a 20x swap. And just will save up the money to rebuild my 255. But I think in my situation it’s just more ideal.
