The MTA sure missed a good opportunity to save tens of millions of dollars; they could've taken the line down Alameda street, build just ONE station at 7th street, continue down to Washington Blvd, turn west, and connect with the pre-existing blue line with a double-track wye. Another double-track wye can be constructed at the site of the old Amoco Junction; the defunct right-of-way can be re-utilized to connect the Expo line to Santa Monica. But THIS is what the region's stuck with now; a helluva hefty price tag o serve an area already well served by the pre-existing heavy rail subway....

Another cool thing about the 5 shared stations between the E and A lines (including the 3 new ones), is that you can transfer between the E and A lines without needing to use your TAP card. It's a TAP free transfer because you're already on the platform. It's awesome!

Something rarely talked about is safety of public transit. In Seattle 100% of trains have traces of meth and fentanyl in the air. There are stabbing, and random shootings weekly.

Deadass we need to get rappers, singers, influencers, anyone influential to promote public transit especially for concerts. Imagine we got any Kpop group to ride the subway or actively promote it and talk about it. People will follow any trend of Bella Hadid, Taylor Swift, Kylie and kim kardashian, BTS. Even pro sports players having a message saying please take the train home at a game or something. That’s what every brand is doing right now to promote their products especially with influencers. If we can make it into an aesthetic and get it popular on tiktok like “balletcore” “old money aesthetic” and romanticize it into something like “hot girl train rides” 😂 or something like “crunchy girls take the train” “granola girls take the train” possibly turn it into a environmental thing to promote it. Think about that stanley cup… It came out of nowhere at a whopping price of 50$ and they got it into the right hands of influencers and they immediately were sold out and the most coveted thing ever and every woman I know has one. I have even seen new “water bottle bags” and “phone holders” that attach to the stanley cup. This will also attract the young audiences which are plentiful on tiktok to get used to and start taking public transit. We’re also buying more luxury brand items then any other generation so if we can market it in a aesthetic+luxurious way with taylor swift or any kpop star. People will follow any trend nowadays. also she told her 272 million fans on ig to register to vote and got 35k voters registered and the amount of 18 year olds registered DOUBLED from 2022
