As someone that has been professionally printing decals for years, it drives me bat shit when people mispronounce it. The word is pronounced Dek-els. Not Dee-Kals.

So finally somebody explains it: a decal is just many stickers on one transfer layer, but above all it is just a very annoying unnecessary BS word. What is wrong with the words sticker and transfer?

The decals I knew were very thin delicate gel sheets stuck to paper and printed. You had to soak them in water, then carefully slide off the paper onto the surface. The clear base was nearly invisible after drying. These typically came with plastic model kits.

would be nice to see the very same sticker with matte and gloss finishes... that would be the best to compare... I understand that some are made to be matte/glossy, but you can still show the difference
