Maybe consider replacing the blightlords for deathshroud? All 3 of them have spewers and they are more durable when being led by a character.

I love my stinky bois with their flamers. I've found that my thematic spewer lists often perform better than my more tuned lists, I do not know why but it sure sparks joy!

I've never really thought about it before, but Death Guard have a semi-industrial design to them which I really like!

if its thematic can you do Carchardons? they use a lot of scout/neophyte squads, commit to close quarters attacks as fast as possible (preferring chain weapons), hit weak spots then withdraw and strike somewhere else if the initial attack doesnt work (like sharks), and they have some leviathan and contemptor dreadnoughts. they always have a terminator detachment, at least one tunderhawk, a storm raven, and some rhinos

Its a pretty good list and it can easily be made better with entropy cannons on the tanks and meltas on the PMs. If one wants to up the dmg they can also swap the blightspawn for biologus. It still is pretty thematic but gets a bit more competitive, perhaps to bring it to a local tournament

I hope death guard get a detachment based on making them tankier, I am quite disappointed how they feel mostly debuffy and not a slow moving wall of tankyness

I think the new design is trying to convey the idea of "bound fury" with choice details, which started by trimming the old design of some "unnecessary details" (plus, GW probably wanted the model to be more manageable for all kinds of painters). His new pose captures him whilst screaming in rage. Now, if we look at the decorum, most of it seems attached through steel-harness around the limbs, that looks like the bindings of a metal casket. And obviously, the ball gag is also part of this "restrained" narrative the design is trying to convey. In his new model, Lemartes is a screaming madman, still wearing the bounds of a typical Death Company Warrior when not on the battlefield. He's a chained beast, unleashed on the battlefield and screaming at his foes. If I am correct in my interpretation, then I do prefer the new design over the old one who just...didn't tell much by comparison. His pose does not convey much, and the legs are slightly awkward. He looks off balance and many of the details feel like "generic blood angels" decorum rather than what Lemartes would personnaly wear. Which is a shame in a range of characters with unique armor and heraldry, like Dante, Mephiston or Astorath I do regret his skull pauldron got smaller in the washing machine though.

The point that a genetically roided up woman would be nearly identical to a man is a point. Not just physically, but psychologically as well. But those that demanded this change most likely still want secondary sexual characteristics front and center - and probably cultural differences and radical personalities... These roided up superhumans are practically neuter in every sence of the word. They've sublimated their humanity (or had it taken away from them) so that they might serve a higher purpose - or at least, serve the Emperor. Ironic that in they end that they will be the flag for a woke agenda. In the future, there is no war, only profiteering.

Hobby Time: don’t be lazy and proxy Primaris like a boor. Get some Mk4 bodies and some alpha legion bits and boom, chosen. Alternatively, the AL HH kill team upgrade. Can even covert quasi corrupted legionaries with Mk4 bodies and 40k CSM bits, since 60% of AL artwork for 40k is hardly spike covered marines. Get a heresy assault squad, boom, raptors. Full squad of 10 in a box. Instant non-lazy hobby time, and probably saving money if you don’t go with the HH alpha legion kill team upgrade. Net yourself 20 bodies for marginally more money than a single box of 10 or 5 CSM regardless of being legionaries or raptors. And no Primaris! Keep that shit out of CSM
