: This is quite different watching this garden railroad running at night. I'm digging it. All Aboard, may the rails be with us. 🐢 🚂 🐢 😲 🐢 🚂

Night runs are the best, except in the Pacific Northwest during the summer when the sun doesn’t set until 2130 hours. That’s way too late for me to be up and outside 😂

I like this system. Do you know if RailPro makes a receiver that can control DCC sound decoders like the ESU or Zimo XL decoders? My plan is to use some UK sound fitted locomotives on a deal rail garden railway. Thanks for the video anyway buddy as I like these helpful tips.
@TheeFishGuyКүн бұрын
@@BritishRail60062 your best bet is to call ring directly or visit their site. I don’t know anything about DCC or what it is. I do know you can upload your own sounds though. Www.ringengineering.com or (219) 322-0279 🙂

I am thinking of getting this RailPro for my UK locomotives as I was wondering if there is an option to program the controller to bind two functions with one key? On most UK locomotives, they have two tone horns and most sound profiles are F2/F3 so I wanted to set it up for one key to do a horn sequence of a high tone F2 and the low tone F3 with just one function on the screen? I am new to this stuff and I would appreciate any advice on this if you can help me out. But if not, no worries. I liked the video anyway.
@TheeFishGuy3 күн бұрын
@@BritishRail60062 go to www.ringengineering.com/RailPro.htm , scroll down to “Railpro Sound Samples”. There might be something there that does what you want. The horn is just a sound file you choose, you cannot have two sound files on the same button. I suppose you could choose two horn sounds and position the buttons right next to each other. Hit one then hit the other??

I was worried about uou welding there under the bridges that you soaked in oil. A guy i once worked with told me qhen he was tecahing me the basics to weld, "it doesnt matter what it looks like, as long as it holds and you know how to use a grinder!"
@TheeFishGuy25 күн бұрын
I gave the soaked cedar about the ten second thought to honest. But I was committed at that point. Only one section caught on fire and it was the last weld I did from underneath. The cup of water took care of that lol

@TheeFishGuy27 күн бұрын
If the frost can lift 5/8” rebar that’s in the ground 36” then I’ll just get rid of the bridges. I don’t see that happening in my lifetime.
@fearlessmtb27 күн бұрын
Oh yeah, almost forgot, I think you can leave the bridges independent or without any connectors (in answer to your question at 9:30),but connectors may be beneficial in keeping any suicidal trains from jumping over on 1 side of the track
