The doorbell cameras are worth the money, purely for the live monitoring capability, that at night is exceptional quality. I used mine to monitor and then catch s huge rat in the attic. Only with the crystal clear black and white footage, in total darkness, did i pinpoint the entry points and then set a trap in the required place, taking account of it’s behaviours. Having a completely mobile device for surveillance has endless uses in a house, so despite the erratic gaps and missing footage, which happen however strong the movement is in front of the camera, it’s an asset. If they could prevent the canera from prematurely ending recording during an important event, it would be the best camera in the world.💪💪💪🥰♥️😁

I don’t have dogs anymore but I had dalmatians for 33 years. I had a father and son team, they were large dalmatians not like the standards, 90 pound dogs. People think they’re pretty and friendly because of Walt Disney. “ 101 Dalmatians” I’ve never seen such Agressive killers in my life as dalmatians and in fact the bread were actually bred to be aggressive. Disney did a disservice to the breed. They’re meant to run 30 Miles a day with a horse every day that’s one tough animal. People warned me about raccoons being vicious and they could drowned your dog if they got them in the water. I think raccoons are really cute and fun unfortunately a few of them came into our yard and they only lasted seconds.

Should all everything edge to edge, excluding orange zones trigger motion notifications? And does the size/split of the remaining zones matter or make a difference? Or is the middle square the main zone? I feel like mine aren't working they aren't always triggering or capturing movement as expected despite being set to max.

Mine went offline today for no reason that I could find, except for it was very windy and I had 49 notifications. So I figured all that must’ve drained the battery, cause I’ve tried this way as with the video, without detaching the camera, and I’ve never had success with it. So I detached it, plugged it in and showed 91% charged! Sigh. I’m beyond frustrated with it but too late to send it back. I don’t understand why it would go offline like that when I don’t see any reason or issue and it still had battery life, which you can’t see unless it’s ONLINE. I think it would be easier to have a refresh button on the app, or some type of msg center to tell you what’s going on with it. Would be helpful.

I apparently have to do this every single time that the battery runs out. It acts fine at first but then just goes offline AGAIN. Glad I wait a while to put it back by my door. I really want to take a hammer to it.

hi there, my toucan camera wont even turn on. I tried to press the reset button, still wont turn on. I tried to recharge it, there are no red lights on front. Please help.

I cant connect to my wifi even if on on my fone. Ive tried switching wifi to 2.4ghz only and still doesnt work and no help anywhere on how to fix this. Im in Uk with a 5ghz n 2.4ghz router any ideas TOUCAN?

Well I guess you can't get good quality unless your willing to pay for a subscription? I just installed 4 cameras today, then my network went down for 15 minutes (star link) and only one camera reconnected. App said camera off line. But then I was going to reinstall the unresponsive cameras and bam as soon as my phone or maybe they detected motion they recomected. Is this a battery saving feature? You can't watch your cameras as you want, they only turn connect to your network if there is motion? I'll return mine if they are defective! And switch brands. I've have logi cirlce for years before and never had an issue but figured I'd try out this company that seems to be really fair with there service. I'll update in a few days.

This is fine if your at home, I'm away and at least half my cameras are offline now, leaving the outside of my house unprotected. I made sure that they were all fully charged when i left home. Unreliable.

Same thing with me. Customer service is terrible I have tried calling and reaching out through email and chat and they just copy past the same instructions from the video. Received after almost 2 months a replacement and still have the issue that it goes offline after it does an update.

So, for about the last month or so, been emailing this lady back and forth almost every other day or so, troubleshooting what could be wrong with my unit. After about a couple weeks or so, finally decided to exchange my unit for a new one. After getting the new one set up, fired up right away.. a week later, still working!!! Having ptsd, hard for me to reach out to anyone at times, but I did. The unit we swapped for, still working!! Kudos Elizabeth, Kudos!!!!!

Yeah I have issues with mine every time that I have to charge it. Sigh. More of a pain than it’s worth really. I hate to say it because I liked it in the beginning. Not so much now.

@@ToucanSmartHome Unfortunately what I have to do every time is to remove the device from the list and then reinstall it. It’s never an easy fix even for only charging it. And yes I’ve called Toucan and that’s what they’ve told me to do the first time I had this issue. Now it’s just every time, especially if the battery goes to zero. I have it on the lowest possible setting for movement and it still manages to pick up my flag in the very top corner of the screen - I’m giving up and will move it when the weather gets a little warmer and I can fix the stain on my porch where it’s at as well. Sensitive little guy! Lol
