@@AdventuresofSkyla good idea as the tires will usually get flat spots on them during the build , i seen a few conversions on youtube and usually they take between one or two years ,depending on how mush you tear out of the bus (removing roofskin adding insulation, raising the roof , tearing out the wiring / heating/ aircon etc the bus is usually sitting in one spot during this time , when you replace the rims and tires before the trip you have a fresh set of rubber and they whont be aged from sitting in the sun all that time the long time sitting is usually the reason why the bus starts having problems once you start using it again , moisture causing rust in the airbrakes , dried out v belts and oilseals rust on sliding parts things seizing up from moisture/rust stuff like that dont respond well to sitting for that long another good idea would be to put cribbing under the frame (stacks of wood ) jacking up and shimming the frame so the bus floor is level during the build even if the bus is sitting on unlevel ground , this makes the build out a little eazier as you can actually use a (laser) level and a plumb bob to set up walls and stuff

We don’t have air breaks and we won’t be taking. 2 years with our build, we will be done in a max 6 months. Dwaynes working on it full time and me part time so we have no excuse for 2 years. Our van only took 8 months and that was with us working full time! We are also on level ground because we are at a friends with a levelled parking spot.

No worries! It all depends on the airline. Animals can’t fly in cabin back into the UK but they can fly out, but it is literally dependent on the airline.

We didn’t want a longer bus…. We purely wanted max 27ft so that our options for parking it are high than with a longer one. We are used to a lot smaller spaces than this. Considering we lived in a truck camper and a sprinter van. Everyone has their own preference. 🙂

Hi, no we have not but they are correct it isn’t an air Canada thing it is a uk airport thing. We will (if we fly back) fly either into Ireland or Europe. Then travel back by other means.

After 3 years she was great still, but we sold her so not sure how. Which would be year 4

Thanks! Either fly into Ireland or fly into Europe. Ireland would be easier as we have friends there and can get the ferry over to wales where we are from. Europe also wouldn’t be too hard as a lot of our friends live in their vans there and would just bring us back with them.

Nope security didn’t check him. It’s the check in desk that would ask that, but they didn’t they just weighed him. But I had checked that he could stand up and turn around because I had heard of that being a possibility to be asked.

Ah right okay! Could he stand up and turn around with the pop top down too? Or just if it was up?

@@gm3899 He could do both, just about with the top down. We had him get used to it with it down for a few weeks before, but we had it popped up the whole time so it could squidge slightly under the seat.

We are in America driving a truckcamper, but when we film the camera is always flipped so the driving seat is on the left.

No this was my dads unit. I don’t sorry I would just have a look online people rent out spray booths all the time.

So we were pretty lucky because I had an American google number so I called the Canadian number advertised. I would try and email them if you can because to book your pup on it can only be done over the phone. I didn’t try the UK number because I didn’t want it to cost me. Sorry! Nope because we had his signed declaration from vet that he gave his rabies and he has his passport we only had the passport the declaration and the fit to fly.

Make sure you check AC as they have different dimensions for different planes. The size never got checked for us just the weight. I doubt every person checking you in wouldn’t know the exact different sizes it can be etc. but incase.
