Really sad that we have AI replacing creative work but we still don't have strawberry picking robots working yet. AI is failing at the stuff it was supposed to do and taking good jobs instead.

Sustainable, says he, in a huge metal structure with soilless monoculture xD. More lucrative maybe, more productive maybe, but certainly not sustainable in any way shape or form.

Hydroponics is in fact more sustainable, with lower land and water usage as well as basically eliminating the need for pesticides and herbicides. That quickly offsets any initial emissions from building the infrastructure.

Let's be honest, environmentalism is a pseudoscience. Their idea of sustainability is everyone living in poverty and only the select few live in luxury. That said, even by the environmentalist's stupid ideas of what is environmentally friendly, hydroponics is actually ideal as it uses the least amount of water, land, and fertilizer. For survivalists living off grid, this also means dilute forms of fertilizer like composting becomes much more effective. A flow through worm cell can produce a constant supply of light fertilizer added to the water which concentrates over time as water is used up, naturally the PPM goes up.

So how much is it?
@bmsfx
@bmsfx Жыл бұрын
My guess is too much, since its not everywhere and not listed. If they have to make the price of robot + startup stuff like piperails and so on + maintenance cost ect worth it, and it doesnt seem to go very fast so would need alot of them i would think. I think most farms would stear clear this thing.

@@bmsfx A robot is much cheaper than hiring human labor (especially with the liability risks if you live in a democrat run state). I think the main reason it isn't in widespread use because most farms are not set up for hydroponics which is what would be needed to raise the plants so the robot can pick. Due to the California state blocking water to farmers, the high taxes, and the state support of criminals, agriculture is slowly moving out of California and in states with less optimal soil conditions, I think hydroponics will gain more popularity to replace the once superior California soil. When this happens, I think the demands for the robots will go up.

Robots don’t belong in a farm this shit is so dumb and slow. They make it seem like you can’t pay farmers or find any harvesters. There’s plenty of people you just pay way too much for tech it’s silly. And you’re growing fruit it’s not weed don’t need hundreds of millions to grow fruit
