I moved away in 2001, we've been back a few times. But it doesn't seem like a lot has changed(besides Mercy, Keith and Roosevelt all becoming senior housing)

This is the highest point in West Virginia. You drive up a very steep road and come to a small parking lot. Once your up there, there are trails, a observation tower with a few benches and a bathroom. You can camp there, but I'm guessing you'd have to contact the park for a permit?

A clean and quiet town. It would be wise for them to invest in security to keep trouble makers out. A few cameras mixed with police officers.

Man I jus got back from Gatlinburg and Sevierville Tennessee. My Mom and Step dad took me to the island. And that's where they bought there whiskey. Ohh I love it there. Nun like the Great Smokies. Such a beautiful peaceful area. Everyone is so respectful there. They have that Yes mam and Yes sir attitude, I love how they treat there people and customers. They treat you like if it's the first and last time there. But 99% of those people always come back not jus because of the Smokies, or peace, also for the respect to the people and community there. ❤❤
