Never seen Marie Rose sauce on burgers but on a molecular level it makes sense with the tartness which will help cut through the fatty juices of the burger. For me (my tastes) I would cook the onions a bit further to caramelise them more but that's just my tastes. That's the beautiful thing about cooking, every recipe is unique to the person cooking it.

I have been a chef for 16 years and never seen this combination. Can anyone explain what each component is and what it comprises of?

Ohh wow. It’s a Nigerian (Youruba) dish called Abula. The solid component is called ‘Amala’ and it is made with yam flour called ‘Elubo’. The yellow component is called ‘Gbegiri’ which is cooked and blended beans. The green component is called “Ewedu” Which is Jute leaf that is cooked and blended. Then finally, the meat or fish stew goes on it as the final component. You can just google “Abula” if you want more details

@@Timiscorner I have heard some of these be mentioned to me in the past in passing conversation but never knew what they were or what they looked like. It is an interesting dish and I would really be down to trying it as it has components similar to a dish I know from Asia. Thank you for the information I'm going to have to try cooking it at some point.
