I went and found the video of Brad Underwood teaching zone defense. I didn’t believe it. Had to see it for myself. Lol.
@illiniguys484430 минут бұрын
You can trust Mike. He used that video to add the 3-2 to his AAU teams options for defense. The key is to always make sure the ball is pressured hard. If you take the skip pass away, this is a really good defense. And we can always tease Brad Underwood for creating the 3-2 movement!
@JoshWeger8 минут бұрын
@@illiniguys4844 Definitely. You gotta have a man, a zone, and a press. Gotta be sneaky, unpredictable.
@ChadEAult11 сағат бұрын
I think what they are doing is ahead of the curve. I believe the future will be two super conferences: the Big Ten and the SEC, which could end up leaving the NCAA. Illinois is positioning themselves in the top 15 Nationally in a stepping stone to the NBA. Currently there are less than five players on NBA rosters from Illinois. In two years that will double. Getting players to the next level is the key to recruiting. Illinois is looking good.
@illiniguys484430 минут бұрын
Even better with some luck and great play on the court, the Illini could go from 0 1&Dones to 2. Maybe. We can dream?
@claytonhall98912 сағат бұрын
Versatility is the calling for this team. I just want to see what the offense looks like with the combo of booty ball, pick and roll, and improved shooting. I do think Morez, DGL, Ty, and Tre White carve out roles as defenders. I think Booth can be that, too, but his time seems to tied to how quickly he can make gains with Fletch before the season starts. Ultimately, I think Ben H is the X factor on offense being able to shoot and being able to be the pick and roll handler or roller. Morez and DGL are probably the X factors on D.
@illiniguys484429 минут бұрын
They have the ability to dictate lineups with their position size and shooting ability. Now its time to jell as a team and get in great shape.

There is clearly a winner here. Again a black man exonerated after falsely being accused of something he didn’t do. Luckily for him we live in a different time than Jim Crow. He is victorious because he is still alive. Heard of Emmitt Till? He wasn’t so lucky. She should be the one doing the time he would have served if found guilty. He actions were nefarious. In this society black men are a target. Shame…

It's absurd that this case didn't get thrown out before it even went to trial given the obvious total lack of any compelling evidence during the trial. The DA and the judge obviously had a woke agenda. Either that or Terence's lawyer(s) didn't put up a good enough fight and make a good enough argument that this case was groundless in the preliminaries so they could get it thrown out..

Why did it take 6 games to get the injunction so Terrence could play? This was a no brainer to Illini fans. Josh and the school group needs help to formulate a policy if they are going to have one for such matters. The main concern of the policy may not be seen as appearance nor reputation. Each is far too shallow and even illusionary. People of character are brought into the program. They even get better through the training here. No policy is better than even a good one let alone an unfair practice that misses justice by 10 miles. Way to go Illini. Let’s get it right. Wily Nily. What a great phrase and good eye on the reality of it. Wily nily is horrible and potentially destructive as seen. It makes sense to sue wily nily folks just to tune them up. Very painful and costly to Terrence. Kansas let all of humanity down by being frivolous.

The Illini fans that I know well, did not think that the Terrance Shannon Jr we have come to know from interviews, stories, his dedication to his craft, and what a good teammate he has been, that this allegation was fishy and totally out of character. TSJ is a good person and I wish the best for him and his family. I am angry that the Kansas authorities did such a poor job in validating the accusations and I think the DA had an axe to grind, that effecting the decision/charging process. As an Illini fan of many years, I believe that this was the best year's performance that I have seen. Remarkable. Without question, I know Terrance deserved 1st team All American selection and should have been in the running for Player of the Year. I would love to see him go to the Bulls in the first round. Can you imagine TJ, Ayo, Coby, Caruso, and maybe Lonzo Ball pushing the ball upcourt? Thanks for the fine interview.
