I appreciate your review and have a couple of comments. The theme might not mean much to you, which is totally understandable. But the theme is very well expressed in the game and tied to nearly every elements in the mechanics. Second, In a 4 player game I won with only two Levites and was last on the Alter track - losing points. I concentrated on the walls and had a few scribes. I was concerned that that strategy would always win, but now that you mentioned that the alter track might be the way, I feel more confident that the game is more balanced.

Thank you so much, these are two very valid comments. We mean no disrespect for the theme, but for us is mechanics first and mechanics in this game are awesome. It is great to hear about the clear/build strategy. We now need someone to confirm that scribes is another viable strategy!

Awesome components! It gives me new ideas for my own copies. I decided to have fewer games, keep only what I really love (less is more 😉 ), and upgrade them with inserts and better components. What is the name of the Brazilian website with coins?

Thanks for the video - a very interesting idea for a top list! I don't really have favorite games that I don't own... If I like something, I try to have it in my collection. Though now I'm more cautious about this because I'm running out of shelf space. Plus, my wife often tells me that we have too many games 😀 However, Trickerion and Voidfall have been on my radar for a long time - both will be released in Polish this year and will most likely find their way into my collection. As for Arnak (with all expansions) and Dune (with more than all the expansions 😉) - I can't imagine not having these games! We love both and play them often (I highly recommend the 2-player campaign in Arnak from the Expedition Leaders expansion). Best regards!

I have to admit that at first, I didn't really like the game's artwork. That was my initial impression when I started watching your gameplay... But as I kept watching, I liked everything more and more including artwork. Interesting mechanics, wheels reminiscent of Barrage, contracts... Maybe I'll get a chance to play it live somewhere. For now, though, I need to finally take Tiletum off the shelf of shame 😉 and Barrage has definitely been absent from my table for too long... But, well, that's life... time is unfortunately running out, many games are still waiting for their turn - it's a pity that the day only lasts 24 hours 😉 And on top of that, we started the "Missing Expedition" campaign in Arnak - which takes up all available free time...

Hello! Thank you very much for the video - as usual, it was very good and very informative. Regarding the games: I considered Evacuation because I also really like the author (we regularly play Underwater Cities and Pulsar), but I am still undecided. Maybe there will be an opportunity to play it sometime, and I'll see if it's the right game for me. Nucleum - I have both Barrage and Brass (Birmingham) - I like both, but I probably prefer Barrage. I bought Nucleum compulsively and it's currently waiting for its turn. Maybe it will suit me better? Distilled will be available in Polish this year - I'm also considering buying it, but I haven't made a decision yet. As for Septima - I ultimately didn't back it during the campaign, although I struggled with the decision 😉 There will also be a Polish version, and my daughter and her husband really want to buy it, so either way, I'll play it and form my own opinion, although unfortunately, the game is receiving very mixed reviews... Unfortunately, because I love Mindclash! But I fully agree with what Elena said at the end of the video - life is short, and there are so many interesting games to play, there's no point in struggling with games that don't fully appeal to us - regardless of the author or publisher.

@@boardgamecourt my thoughts: determine what player count you prefer. There are two games for 2 players: Colonial Twilight and The British Way (which contains 4 separate games). It is my understanding that the activation mechanism for these two games are different than the more “standard” activation method used in 4 player games. There is a three faction volume: All Bridges Burning. Some 4 faction games have bots that can fill out the lineup if playing solo or with less than 4 players. Some bots are flowchart style and some games have card driven bots, Andean Abyss is the original COIN game. It is considered by many to be “pure” COIN. Andean Abyss is available on Rally the Troops. Cuba Libre is consider by many to be another great entrée into COIN - 4 factions but a small, manageable map. As for the other 4 faction games: pick a subject or theme that interests you. I love Fire in the Lake - but it is considered to be more towards the complex end of the COIN spectrum. The Players Aid has published a fairly recent video dedicated to COIN and they discuss their favorites as they rank all of the then existing volumes. Rodney on Watch It Played has published some vids on some COIN volumes. It will be interesting to hear your opinions if you do choose to try COIN.

@@boardgamecourt My thoughts: consider desired player count for intro into COIN games. Colonial Twilight and The British Way are two player games. The British Way actually has four different games within it. Not yet played these two - but it is my understanding that the activation mechanism is quite different than more traditional four faction COIN volumes. All Bridges Burning is a three faction game. Some four faction volumes have bots that facilitate additional player counts from 1 to 3. Some of the bots are flowcharts and newer bots are card driven. Andean Abyss is the original volume and is thus often considered at "pure COIN". Andean Abyss is available on Rally the Troops. Cuba Libre is often recommended as a starter entree volume because of its smaller map, while still being a 4 faction game. The Players Aid has a video on their recent rating of all volumes available at their press time. Rodney on Watch It Played presents some COIN content. Some COIN volumes are more complex than others. Not sure if the BGG Complexity Ratings reveal those differences. Other than that, pick a subject or conflict that interests you and go for it. I started with Fire in the Lake, playing all 4 factions - and remain awed by how that game handles the complexities of that conflict. But everyone's interests are different.
