The other issue is not only is the Phone App not that reliable, but the Tesla app sucks the power out of my phone, so having the Key Fob is a great way not to worry about killing your cell phone battery just close the Tesla App and use the Key FOB!

It’s a real shame the 3rd party chargers are rubbish, Chargefox is also uninformative about issues with the chargers. They really have a lot to do to attract ICE users when the market is this unreliable. I’ve had my Model Y for 3 days and I want to drive MEL to ADL and it concerns me it’s so painful still in 2024 in Australia when compared to other countries that better support EV owners

What do you mean “uninformative”? So let me see if I understand correctly, you’ve had the car 3 days, you haven’t driven it far, but you’re saying it’s painful yet you haven’t really experienced much yet? Also., this video is from March 2023, over a year ago. 🤷🏻‍♂️

ahhh the good old Autopilot Yeah Yeah Nahh lane change refusal happens to us a lot on the M1 north of Newcastle. though i have noticed sometimes it will dive into a turn lane off the freeway, scared the crap out of me the first time it happened. The Coffs harbour charger at Big Banana is just 2 units on a pallet and is a temporary setup. the main supercharger site in town, is usually quite busy, so its quite common when travelling past Coffs, the car will skip the Coffs harbors sites and send you to Harwood, or Pt Mac. at Pt Mac there are 2 lots of Superchargers, the slower (ist gen chargers) at Cassagrain, and the new ones, V3s , 12 units is at Thrumster, so far faster and more change of a free charger there. and a lot closer to food!
@notacarguy_au
@notacarguy_au 12 күн бұрын
It’s a shame we didn’t know about the big banana one. Not sure how long it will be till we are up that way again. Really not impressed by that lane change thing. Once you’re aware that it could happen and you’re “prepared” for it, it’s not that bad, but still not good enough and I’d argue potentially pretty dangerous.

Was the original site from Dec 2016 to Aug 2018. Closed when the main Coffs site opened. Reopened late 2023. In recent days Tesla has added a few new coming soon points to it's map, and looks like a new site (possibly 15 stalls per NSW Govt funding docs) will be coming to Moonee Beach, just north of Coffs.

Sydney is tunnel crazy. The Westconnex alone 1km shy of being the world’s longest road tunnel. But it’s attached to the Rozelle interchange which is 13 tubes worth of 16km of extra tunnels (extending to 24km). This and the other tunnels makes Sydney by a large margin the most tunnelled road city in the world. But not to outdo itself there are 3 metros lines and another harbour tunnel under construction

So glad I found your youtube channel. Loved learning from you. We recently had solar panels and a powerall installed (Mel AUS) but we are really struggling with understanding how to use it effectively. Our power bills are increased significantly and when we struggle to understand how it works. We truly believe something is wrong with how it has been set up and Nectr have not been able to work out what is going on. Tesla support has not been great either. Bottom line is that the house and Tesla are mainly pulling from the grid and not the solar or powerall. I am so confused. Are you able to help us,, or do you know if there is a professional service who can look at our setup and try and help????

It has its uses. For instance, what if it's raining hard and you have kids with you? Or if you bought some heavy equipment and don't want to risk hurting your back? What if you forgot where you parked your car? Maybe you're parked in a tight spot and can't get in or out of your car? Or consider the scenario where you want to avoid being seen while doing something questionable. Of course, you won't use it every day, but it's available when you need it.
